    Thank you for helping find my next bike. Just placed my order for a 2022. Do you have the regular rival bars or the reduced reach?

    This is a beautiful bike but I can't bring myself to pay $30K for a bike. I'm looking at a 2020 Kawasaki Vulcan Vaquero which cost around $14K brand new (Arizona area). I test rode a challenger and loved it, just not the price BUT the regular challenger at $21K is a lot better so time will tell

    Still love my Victory Cross Country Tour but these new Indians are very nice.
    Had her up to 130 mph once, it has Lloyds cams, timing wheel, 1/4 turn throttle, atom bomb exhausts dynoed by Rylan in Iowa.

    Why do you blip the throttle when you up shift ?

      Freedom Rider,
      I was wondering about that too. I'm thinking it was unintentional, when I played it back.

    Do you have any throttle response issues? I notice the blip on upshift but is there a lag when attempting to blip when downshifting

    I've got 50 years on 2 wheels.

    The aftermarket will be rabid dogs getting their teeth into this bike. I really likey! Wear those gloves man. They do protect better than seat belts in an airplane? 😂. Life’s short, just buy the damn bike.

    How do you make the extra rumble when you twist your throttle while changing gears. That's a cool sound.

      I blip the throttle right after I change gears

      I have been riding sport bikes for 20 years, I know I learned to do that because I use it to try and match the rpm to the gear your down shifting too, it makes the shift smoother. Just my opinion. Look at race cars and you will see they do it to.

    Great video bro, I just subscribed. Test rode the Challenger last week. It's a bad ass bike no doubt about it. Handles like a sport bike. And that exhaust sounds sick. I think I might go with Tabs on my Springfield as well.

    I'm interested in getting a Challenger in the next couple years but for right now I'm sticking with my BMW K 1600.
    That being said, I think you should test drive a k 1600.
    I'd be very interested in what you I would have to say about it.
    You being someone that went from a muscle bike to a bagger, I think your impression of a high performance sport touring would be a interesting perspective.

    • @IndianChallengerRiders
      @IndianChallengerRiders  4 роки тому +2

      I’m sure BMWs are awesome, but the V-twin sound and throttle rap is a part of the riding experience. I think the Challenger’s power and handleability delivers that.

    6:57 This engine has nothing to do with Victory. They don’t exist anymore. Polaris killed them off to make Indian a bigger brand than Victory ever was. They have been dead since 2017. This engine is 100% new from Indian. The engine/chassis of the Scout was shared with the Victory Octane for the one year that it was on sale, but that’s the only crossover.

    • @vaderglide5978
      @vaderglide5978 4 роки тому +3

      Yes I concur with u. Indian is a company in itself. All Indian engineering and production. Polaris is simply the money. Also support in the marketing and research & development. Good job Indian. Mine is a 2019 Indian Chieftain Darkhorse in thunder smoke black.

    • @freedom6919741
      @freedom6919741 4 роки тому +2

      Yeah that’s not true. The Motor was a Victory engine. That is fact.

    • @CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC707
      @CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC707 4 роки тому +1

      BS....Motor is base off the development from the Victory Octane motor and the 156 engine! All of that data went to Indian brand.....

    I just don't understand the handlebar change, higher is NOT more comfortable. Its a posing thing! Looks soooooo stupid. Like a 5yr old riding an adult bicycle!

    • @niconjones
      @niconjones 4 роки тому +7

      It’s not stupid at all. I’ve been riding baggers for years and have found that taller bars give you more leverage. It’s all about rider preference....

    • @IndianChallengerRiders
      @IndianChallengerRiders  4 роки тому +5

      not only that but it fixed my right shoulder pain!

    • @IveAlreadyWon
      @IveAlreadyWon 4 роки тому +5

      I'm just going to assume you've never ridden a bike with higher bars. It 100% increases rider comfort, and actually gives you better leverage to manage the bike.

    • @mp9508
      @mp9508 4 роки тому +5

      I never met a rider who preferred apes (or mini apes) because they were a poser. It’s all about the shoulder - most people have injuries and require a specific angle to be comfortable for long rides. tl;dr: dumb comment is dumb.

    • @2kanchoo
      @2kanchoo 4 роки тому +2

      I agree with the bars way above shoulder height. Parallel to shoulder or slightly lower is very comfortable. And as others have said a lot of guys need it to compensate for shoulder injuries etc.
