USB Port Removal on JBL FLIP 6 Bluetooth Speaker (How to)

In this video we explain how to remove the USB charging port (USB-C) from the JBL Flip 6 Bluetooth speakers.
We explain the entire way with simple to follow step-by-step instructions.
First remove the grill of the speaker. Then detach the plastic cover, located above the charging port. Now remove the two small Phillips screws, holding the clear plastic cover in place.
In order to remove the USB charging port we still need to disconnect the PCB, onto which the port is mounted to, from the wiring harness.
Remove the four screws, holding the driver in place and take out the driver. Also remove the passive radiator of that side of the speaker. Now we can detach the harness and pull the charging board out.

is there a way to disconnect the water damage sensor from the usb port? Mine seems to have gone faulty and every time I try to charge it, it starts to flash (it's been like this over a month)

@@tomasdamianspoturno4065 I didn't. I just went to Walmart and brought a $14 dollar speaker that's working fine. That flip 6 was the second expensive speaker I'd bought in a year. The other that stopped working was Alteck or something like that

Eu ja limpei o porta usb cm alcool isopropilitico sequei mas quqndo conecto o carregador nao passar carga e fica fazendo sinal de alerta ... o meu porta usb estragou ..?? E sera que so trocando o conector usb o dispositivo se umidade ou sujeira destrava e volta a carregar normalmente ?

Can i ask you question?What if i see the power button and the charging light turned on but the bluetooth sign not… and the speaker isn’t working tho … i bought it few days ago and my fam and i played songs on it for two day so i think it shoud be charged but it’s not working while charged… why? What should i do?

My friend has one which wont charge. If i plugin adapter, it makes this random chimming sound. If i press and hold power and BT, it shows low to empty battery. It wont charge. The device is practically new. So i guess its a faulty port, since it does give some indication on the lights. It wont turn on and only makes alert chimes if power adapter is comnected. Then stays off

USB Ports tend to break over time. E.g. when people aren’t careful with the charging cable and bend it while plugged in.
