You definitely have a way of making these dolls look so beautiful, even if I wasn't interested in them based on the AG stock photos! Great video once again! 💗
This is all wonderful. I'm excited for you to pare down your collection and see how that feels. I bet you'll feel lighter. :) Your PDF sounds great - looking forward to it! Thanks, as always, for all of the comparison pics. And that little bob on her is so adorable. Ok, now on to the re-wigging video. :)
@@EvelynRoseAG That must be really hard when you've put your own time and effort (blood, sweat and tears too) into them. I know you're very good at making lists and categorizing, so you might want to try writing down different dolls you're unsure about, what makes them unique, why they're in your collection, and see if you find a pattern. That may help you to let go of some. Then again, it could solidify some all the more. :)
AS IS, she is one of my two absolute least favorites of the newer TM dolls, so I was excited to see you got her. I know you'll make her look so much cuter than AG did lol. Already, with the wig you put on her she looks ten times better. Can't wait to see the final result (of this doll AND of the in-depth comparison guide you're creating)!!
Thanks Kristie! Same here, she wasn’t really on my radar due to the wig but without it.. wowza 😍 I’m having so much fun putting the guide together and can’t wait to get it finished. It’s something I’ve wanted for myself and I figure others will enjoy it, too.
I can’t wait to get my fingers on the guide you are creating. I’m not a fan of this doll’s wig on her either. Can’t wait to see her transformation!! Merry Christmas!! 🎄 🥰
109 is very cute! I think she has a great face! Although I’m team 80 I can see why she is appealing the dark skin with grey eyes are a beautiful combination!
I've 109 too - but like you, I don't really get why that wig on that doll. I took the wig off of mine and put it on my maritza, on whom it looks lovely (I had trouble finding a wig I liked on her because she's SO warm-toned). I also wasn't a fan of the curtain bangs so when I put it on maritza I was able to use some of the loose hairs to create some fuller bangs. I love how you always do so many comparisons, this was great! I think she really is a very unique doll!
109 is very sweet, but I agree AG had a bit too much fun with colors to make a doll that actually looks like a lot of little girls out there. When I worked at the store I had a girl come in who wanted a black doll with straight hair and no bangs, and was getting frustrated that her family kept suggesting 109, even though she wanted hair she could play with. I wish AG would bring back a version of 31/50/80 for little girls to have playable hair and realistic colors. (There was also SO many parents who tried to persuade their daughters into buying lookalike dolls. I'm not sure what kicked off that mindset but it is ingrained DEEP!)
Yes! This is so validating because I feel like moving away from having true lookalike dolls was American Girl’s way of justifying reducing the number of dolls in the line. And since they have the CYOs that is intended to replace that aspect. But $220 is unrealistic for a lot of parents to spend on a doll for their kids.
you literally have such a way of making the truly mes look STUNNING!! for both 109 and 108 i adore your versions of, but don’t like the stock photo ones.
That is such a sweet compliment - thank you! The stock photos certainly never do them justice, which is a bummer because that is what is supposed to sell the dolls.
I think that #109 has been unfairly maligned. I saw several videos after her launch where she was described as ugly. I saw one collector who had ordered her and I decided that it was the stock photos that did disservice to this beautiful girl. In the collector's video I could see just how lovely and unique she is. If I wasn't full up I'd think about getting her.
I completely agree! It makes me sad that she was described in that way. The stock photos definitely do her a disservice as does her original wig. I hope I was able to change a few minds with this video!
Lovely, simply lovely: I considered her when I puchased my last A.G. doll, but I preferred one bound to a real character; as I am italian, I cannot afford to purchase many of them, as they cost me a lot. I endly chosen Nanea. ua-cam.com/video/ZNxtEPhZy70/v-deo.html Which I am really loving. Congratulations for your new doll and many wishes for a merry Chritmas and a happy new year.
I never liked that doll until I watched this video. She looks 100% better! You work magic!
Awww thank you! I’m glad I could show you her beauty!

I’m looking forward to it too, but also kind of dreading it. I always take dolls in to rehab and then get attached.. it’s a vicious cycle!

PS-LOVE the bobbed hair wigs. We need more of them with bangs. I'm having a 1920's obsession right now!
I have some bobbed wigs with bangs by Zazou also, they are so fun!

I’m so ready to be done but it’s taking longer than I would like. So many photos to take! I’m glad it’s something you’re looking forward to ❤️

I would personally love #80 with 109’s brows and lip paint!

I bet Maritza looks stunning in this wig! The warm tones seem perfect for her. Thanks for leaving a comment and I’m glad you enjoyed!

When I first saw her I said the same thing "washed out"! She looks great with the lighting though but I think you're right a different wig is better!
I do wish they would have put more thought into the wig. I don’t know what they were thinking!
I’m excited to see your next video on her. I dislike the original wig on her so much that I never even considered her. I think you’ll change my mind 😅
Thank you! It’s too bad AG didn’t give her some more love and let her shine in a different wig.

Her eyes reminds me of my grandmother I think that is what first got my attention. I love love love her short wig. Is that a zazu doll wig?
Sounds like your grandmother had beautiful eyes! And yes it is, this one is called “Francheska”.
I love thiiiiss
Thanks Emily!! 🤍
❤❤❤❤🎉
🥰🥰🥰🥰
I like this doll but hate her wig as the streaks look unnatural the highlights are to stark. She will stay on my list.
I feel you there - that wig has to come right off!

Thank you so much! Nanea is a fantastic choice.
