Before that Stalin kept him in a quarter quite comfortably in Irkutsk. In 1946, British took him to Baluchistan and killed him. There was one witness to that who wrote that in the Anuj Dhar created special website in the Hindustan Times. Nehru stole all the assets of the Azad Hind Government, which Japan gave him when Nehru visited Japan in 1950..

The British Indian Army was loyal to the crown till the End. 17th Infantry Division of the Royal Indian Army fought against INA in burma with no mercy in mind. Similarly During Royal Indian Navy revolt this British Indian Army used brutal force to crush the revolt. Many veterans of the Navy who were court marshal told that they were treated badly by Punjabi and sikh soldiers because according to them the sailors were traitors. Therefore the 45k INA troops of Netaji Bose were never enough to liberate India. That's a clear fact. The contribution of INA and Netaji Bose only preponed the Independence day. If we go back to 1942 in the Cripps mission british were ready to give india dominion status at that point itself later which we got in 1947 this tells us that british had no intentions to stay in India after WW2. Both the people in favour that Gandhi or Netaji Bose respectively were the real hero are using baseless arguments to propagate their own perspective forgetting the history and sacrifice before Gandhi and Netaji Bose.
I will only tell you that Bose was a commander of the Japanese and nothing else. Azad Hind Fauj is formed on 21 October 1943, it disbands in 1945, that means India is independent in 1•5 years.?? Let me tell you one more thing, they have a hand in the death of 30 lakh Bengalis in Bengal. in 1943 andaman and Nicobar win by Japanese when he attack on singapore after that he gifted to bose in 1943-44. People are not interested in making Netaji hero but they’re more interested in minifying Bapu’s contribution. Netaji is just a tool for this viscous operation. Netaji had highest respect for Bapu. He was the one who first called him Father of the nation.
It is not Gandhiji vs Bose, it is more of Gandhiji and Bose. It was Netaji who gave the title of "Father of Nation" to Gandhiji, so he was above all else. Their ideologies were different but united in purpose.
