      All I ever see is people saying "If he can stay healthy" and "But his health" he looks like he could be as healthy as KD has been in his career, which isn't exactly iron man but better than nothing, his game doesn't look super aggressive so most of it will come down to luck, like not landing on someone's foot. But it seems weird all anyone talks about is his health, why put the bad mojo out there constantly?

      That’s the craziest part; it’s not only the length, it’s the timing.
      Wemby’s blocking their shots after being beaten of the dribble, hooks & pump fakes.
      He’s making a mockery of some elite players skills…he blocked Wiggins 3x & clay shooting a three, Steph using the rim as a likely shield, nothing seemed to work or matter when he was in the vicinity.

      @@applechili2848 at this point idk if its actually the players beating him or if he's letting them beat him on the floor, his timing's different from literally anyone else and maybe its actually in his favor if the opponent thinks he's beaten Wemby and takes a shot while still in his range lol. If the Spurs get a guard who can work in tandem with him and back him up when players adjust to his reach and timing, they could block literally any move by any player lol. Steph and Dame's logo 3 pointers would be the only anti-Wemby weapon still left, you'd need like a prime Bron or a Giannis in full flow to blow past him.

    after watching this, the fact that scoot thinks he deserves the #1 pick is hilarious and downright delusional. Even without his height, Wemby's basketball IQ, decisions, passing, hustle and help D is crazy and he does not seem like a rookie at all. The way he plays D reminds me of a cold blooded psychopath, he gives just enough space for his man to receive the ball and attempt a shot, only to crush their hopes and dreams with a 13ft swat. Throwing a oop to him is a cheat code for free points and assists.

The fuidity of a his low crossover to go into a pullup is the most insane thing I have ever seen from a human being in this sport. He is literally as tall as Yao freaking Ming and moves like a 6'9 guy. I always consider Kd an anomaly in regards to his guard skills at 7 feet, but this is the next level. @Anthonydu01630 11 місяців тому +1

      Chamberlain was just ahead of his time in term of size and athleticism, but he had low IQ and was a bad team player, its only when he got old and started to play team ball with great defense like Bill Russel that he won his only 2 Titles, he averaged 16ppg when he won his 1st title, so Wilt scoring is overated, watch Ben Taylor from thinking basketball video about him, his team offense wasnt even good when he averaged 50 🤷🏾‍♂️
      So i would say he is more like the new Kareem, Magic, Bird, MJ, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, Lebron, Curry, KD, Giannis and Jokic, every generation you have like 2-3 players above every other players, and Wemby will be one of them he will dominate the late 2020’s and early 2030’s imo .. He has the skillset to be very durable, just like Duncan, he played his first 9 season at the 4, he had the athleticism and motor to be the offense primary option and to anchor the defense as well with his rim protection, and when he got slower and bigger he played the 5 for his last 10 seasons, anchoring the defense with his rim protection, size and lenght will always be there, and on offense he played a role in a system, and just had a great feel for the game, simple and effective, and i think Wemby career will be similar, except he will be better offensively, and maybe defensively too, wich would probably make him the GOAT, or at least Top 4 …

      The refs already give petty fouls on wilt every single game, wilt literally making any tiny contanct on defense gets him fouls. I don't know how literally trying to stay on the court to help you team win is being selfish... you know what actually selfish literally doing nothing to stop yourself from getting a 6th foul and being tossed out the game...

    And players across the league now had to change their shooting mechanic, shooting is now more akin to lobbing artillery shell to negates wemby's defensive range.. and not only change their mechanics but at the same time quickens their release timing.

    Wemby at 7'4 has started becoming a nightmare on any team right now (Eric Spoelstra counts as#1 on this belief). Warrior has a great night on that game but it was dwarfed by this kid as he's just 19, imagine only at 19! Oh my, what more if he'll become adept at the rotation as there are still more rooms for improvements. Commissioner himself Adam Silver quoted- this year's draft pick is one of the most important as we're about to see a prospect of interest for this generation.

    • @pcgamerbydefault5504
      @pcgamerbydefault5504 11 місяців тому +2

      The Spurs have the most cap space and money of any team. There is a lot of talent on this team to be moved, all the pieces wont fit together. Compound that with the money they have, someone is going to be moved this season for a high caliber established star. Imagine the players that will want to play with the Spurs after seeing the roster. And if that don't happen because the Spurs (or Vic) isnt happy with the options on the market then they will absolutely land a star player in the offseason. Typically trades tend to offer the best value but since the Spurs have the most to offer dollar wise and the most valued picks for several years, I can see this as an inevitability.

    his greatest asset is his defensive awareness. we've seen few other ponytails in this league. Tall men who can shoot from deep, fast and agile but not to compare with this kid with his outstanding defense. Very sound fundamentals like box out, pick and roll recovery, 3pt close outs.. like men, I have never seen such a defensive demon inside and out of the shaded lane.
