  • Hello, Designistas! I'm Rose. Today, let's create a basic t-shirt in Clo 3D using the traditional pattern drafting method, which is both easy and accurate. With these formulas, drafting patterns has never been easier. Additionally, I will demonstrate how to fit the garment onto the avatar and simulate it to visualize the finished product. Lastly, I will apply top stitches and a graphic design to the t-shirt. Furthermore, the tutorial includes measurements and formulas. Okay, let’s get started! 👍 See the measurement/formulas link: encoderfashion.blogspot.com/2... Additionally, I'm offering 18 high-resolution digital fabric texture files in .jpg format for free. You can import these textures into CLO 3D, Marvelous Designer, or Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop. 👍Find the fabric link on Gumroad here: encoderfashion.gumroad.com/l/...

Useful video to understand the making of perfect Sleeve pattern. But without showing measurement chart as reference,we are not able to connect with values that are explained.
1.What measurement is 49.45? And when we create Sleeve pattern we have to consider the armhole value derived by formula as width of the Rectangle we create isn't? In that case, as per the formula, the value has to be first divided by 2 and then added by 4 isn't? Why is the value subtracted by 4 which is meant to calculate Sleeve circumference? I mean the calculation you made as 49.45/2=24.725 (24.73) - 4 = 20.725 (20.73)... KINDLY CLARIFY
    2. Offest value 12 for Sleeve cap, Am I right?
    3. What is Offset 18 for Sleeve opening isn't?

Hello Induja, that's very good. The measurement of 49.45 is obtained from a finished armhole, for example, from the front or back. Then, you can calculate as follows: 49.45/2 = 24.725 (rounded to 24.73) - 4 = 20.725 (rounded to 20.73). Yes, you are correct, 12 cm is the sleeve cap, which is part of the formula, and 18 cm is the sleeve circumference. Please refer to this formula link (Note: the number in the formula is different compared to this measurement but the formula is the same): encoderfashion.blogspot.com/2023/12/how-to-draft-basic-top-pattern-in-clo.html. If you have more questions, let me know. Love it, Rose.

Very good! The great thing about this formula is that it works, and I will create more tutorials on making shirts, blazers patterns, etc., using this formula. It will get easier the more we do it, promise. Happy designing, Rose.
