i remember my first visit to Ilocos, my friend and i were originally planning to just go straight to Pagudpud for it's beach. We have no itinerary but we have an entire week to spend so, on the first bus we were suppose to just take a short stop in Vigan then continue to Laoag so we can ride another bus to Pagudpud. But then we decided, since we're here why not spend the night and check out the place. So we did, as soon as we got out of the bus station we asked a tricycle driver to help us look for a place to stay and without hesitation he did. He did not even ask for a large payment after going thru different places that night and mind you, he's the one who talked to owners and negotiated for us, we did not even have to step out of the tricycle. Because of him we had a great impression of the place already :) The next morning, we're hungry and have no idea where to find food so we decided to take a walk and see Vigan in the morning. There's no store that's open so early in the morning but we have been enjoying the place because it's been preserved so well, it feels like you've travelled back in time. A tricycle driver happens to see us and offered a tour, he introduced us to what they call a Tourcycle, we were hesitant at first because we didn't want to actually officially tour the place but we're hungry so we agreed and asked him to take us somewhere where we can eat breakfast first, then after that we toured Vigan and just fell in love. We then asked the tourcycle driver to take us to the bus stop going to Laoag, he then told us that they have Tourcycle too and actually recommended us to someone he knows there. As soon as we got off the bus in Laoag, the next tourcycle driver is already waiting for us HAHAHA the same thing happened and we even did the Sandunes AHAHAHA, when we finally got to Pagudpud, we asked the tourcycle driver to take us to the other beach since the north side of Pagudpud where Hannah Beach was full of people. He brought us to Saud beach and looked for a place for us to stay, he found us a room at the beach front [there's a wall but we're at the 2nd floor] that's waaaaaaaay cheaper than the resort and we got in, the first thing we saw was the amazing beach .. like, i've been to many beaches before but that was love at first sight! we did tour of course and since it was just my friend and i, we always took our tourcycle drivers with us on our food trips and activities .. so we basically almost toured the entire south and north ilocos because of the good people that helped us and because everything was just amazing, it feels like your in another world with just good people around haha. i'm still friends with the tourcycle drivers and have recommended so many friends of mine to them. I really want to go back there as soon as possible ♥

We have plans to visit Ilocos Province this December. I don't know if matutuloy sya kasi may pandemic tayo but we really love to visit Ilocos again. Yes. We've already visited Ilocos Province and masasabi namin na isa sya sa mga probinsya na we really admire. Traveling from Cavite to Ilocos ay smooth dahil sa maayos ang road nila. The different cities we've visited ay magaganda at malilinis. This year we hope that despite na may pandemic tayo ay makabalik kame don kasi we know na there is more places to visit, food to taste, history to learn and more good people to meet.
I love ilocano food,when i went there the food is really nice and affordable..definitely wil go back someday.i like ilokano people too,wala mandurugas mula tricycle driver to hotel owner are really trusthworthy.

I was born and raised in Mindanao but my grandparents were from Laoag, Ilocos Norte. And even though they built their family in Mindanao, they made sure to pass down the Ilocano language and culture to their sons and grandchildren. I may be a pure bisaya but I sure love my father's Ilocano dishes. It is my dream to visit my grandparents' hometown one day and experience their culture first hand.

We have plans to visit Ilocos Province this December. I don't know if matutuloy sya kasi may pandemic tayo but we really love to visit Ilocos again. Yes. We've already visited Ilocos Province and masasabi namin na isa sya sa mga probinsya na we really admire. Traveling from Cavite to Ilocos ay smooth dahil sa maayos ang road nila. The different cities we've visited ay magaganda at malilinis. This year we hope that despite na may pandemic tayo ay makabalik kame don kasi we know na there is more places to visit, food to taste, history to learn and more good people to meet.

I was born and raised in Mindanao but my grandparents were from Laoag, Ilocos Norte. And even though they built their family in Mindanao, they made sure to pass down the Ilocano language and culture to their sons and grandchildren. I may be a pure bisaya but I sure love my father's Ilocano dishes. It is my dream to visit my grandparents' hometown one day and experience their culture first hand.
