One I would love to see is out of left field, but I'd love to see him have his passive buffed so it has a cooldown aspect that lets his go through a wall! Fits the ghost theme, adds some interesting mobility, and doesn't rely on changing his numbers which can be tricky. Either like instantly blinking through the wall, or being able to walk through it just feels so Gengar :)
Meta is rough for gengar right now. Still wipes teams in skilled hands, but with how bulky everything is, he needs to rely on others to engage and soften up hard targets. Healers like clefable keeping their teammates topped off makes it quite difficult. Buffing it any further would be silly though.
Yup, buffing both of these would make it feel like more of a Speedster. It'd be cool if the unite energy drained while using (instead of completely upon activation) so you could potentially get it sooner that way
As a gengar main with ≈ 1,400 out of 8,500 total matches and a 63% win rate with the mon, he is so inconsistent and im so disappointed that patch after patch comes out and he gets no attention. That and they keep adding bulkier mons to the game, which is an indirect nerf to him every time. Not to mention that spoon was nerfed so that’s another nerf to gengar. I want them to buff his damage so I’m not forced to stack every game as well. His item slot loadout is just so boring with no viable variability. He needs more damage, 112 sec unite move, level 7 evo and his old range back and he will be in a much better place.
Yes Lvl 7 Evo. I agree about buffing the base damages but they would need to slightly nerf the ratios or it would be broken with stacking. Oh I forgot about the range nerf too. The devs really take too long to make simple changes.

Gengar is suffering from peak speedster dilemma tbh. Firstly there are many mons in the meta that makes life hard for it. And if you somehow had a great start with it and get level leads with it you would die in mid game team fights and give up all your advantage(he is the most prone speedster to this) and the last team fight is gonna be hell. Tho draft may sound like a solution for it, but if you have a good mmr you are going to be the first pick so you can't use it as a counter pick and if you switch your spot with someone i highly doubt your team is gonna let you jungle.

Changes I'd like to see; - Better Hex targeting (prioritizing foes affected by status, especially form Sludge Bomb) - More effective passive (further increased speed) - Unite usable more often (reworked to drain while using so some energy is hopefully left after attacking with it)

Speedsters can dive and retreat very easily but for gengar he cant escape if he try to engage . Gengar is good but the current meta doesnt allow it to perform excellently
Gengar may not be good as competitive but it is still quite strong as a speedster, feels like perfect tbh, maybe a dream eater Cooldown buff as soon as it hits is more than enough or a percentage damage to dream eater

I honestly don't know how chris hasn't stopped playing this game. I've been playing consistently since the game dropped a few years back and it just steadily gets worse and worse with each patch. Whether that be from unbalanced patches, power crept Mon, or the mass of actually decent players that have recently left the game due to the abysmal player base. This game literally just needs a ranking fix so that people who deserve masters get it, and not everyone in the damn game. But unfortunately the devs would rather money grab by pumping out new mons every other month than actually increase the quality of life in the game by fixing the ranking issue. And it's crazy cause I feel like its safe to say that doing that would easily revive the game even if that meant longer matchmaking. I mean shit, I played the other day for the first time in months and I still waited almost 3-5 mins for a game. Id much rather wait that or even a little longer if it meant the game I got into wasn't full of bots, and by bots I mean both literal bots and braindead people.

Basically you dive in, make sure you land your shot or get your ass getting G check by the enemy. Or play this cosplay Pikachu who is basically better than Gengar in every single ways

Probably you playing spam Pokemons like Cinderace, duraludon, greninja .. switch to fun Pokemona like zoroark, dodrio interleon snipe shot .. these Pokemons keeps you entertained always when you use them
@@Kumaranke i don't use cinderace, greninja and duraladon. I just keep playing with every Pokemon 😭 can't stuck with one, like I got green batch tsereena then I get zeraora then delphox and others are 20k plus points
probably wont help, but personally i just dont care what pokemon i play lol, i try to be good at anything so I can at least contribute somehow to the team, every game lasts 10 minutes so every second counts eh?
A buff Gengar could get is making Dream Eater's cooldown start when it hits an opponent and not when you choose to teleport to someone.
Be careful of what you wish because i use to get 20ko when the enemy team is squishy

Either make gengar lv 7 evo, allow people to reset dream eater on assists so you can't get ksed, or rework the passive.

Gengar is still good...if you can hit your spells. Gets so punished for missing.
Gengar may not be good as competitive but it is still quite strong as a speedster, feels like perfect tbh, maybe a dream eater Cooldown buff as soon as it hits is more than enough or a percentage damage to dream eater
Hex+Sludge bomb is still one of the best build in my opinion. But Dream eater needs a buff js to be competitive.
