    Hi James, I appreciate your teaching about the scotch gambit a lot! What do you reccomend for white after 4...d6? To simply take the pawn with the knight often leads to boring games where club player simply trade knights and after offer to even trade queens.

      Yeah that is boring! You will usually go into a philidor then. If you want try playing Bf4 and castling queenside then launch a kingside attack!

    Genius! Solution 2 seems advanced. I'd love to bring that to somebody. Solution 1 is smart too, but that rook check in solution 2 is nasty! I'm determined to hit somebody with that.

    This does not work at all if black plays d6 instead of be7 which is what 99%of people plays...
