I agree with the reply above me, throw the adapter away, that adapter is dangerous for many many reasons, first there is ground connection, and second on the UK plug there is no fuse, and UK plugs have to have fuses to protect the wire, because in the UK they use a different wiring system that draws more current than it would in other countries, and if there is no fuse and a short circuit happens, then you will have 32 amps of current going through your wire, which would most likely set the cable on fire, watch this video for more information ua-cam.com/video/KoK8voT4Hl0/v-deo.html.
@ss_super_steve I was away to order this but I'm not now. Can u advise? I live in the UK, I've been wanting to buy a fancy hairdryer for over a year but the UK plugs are never in stock so i just bought the eu type, thinking an adapter is cheap & easy to find online🙄 The first adapter I bought was the wrong shape for the plug, it was shaped like this,🔌 if u can see it against the black lol. The second adapter I bought the hairdryer worked to start with & then I changed the heat setting & it cut off. Turned out I bought a shaver/ toothbrush adapter that had a 1amp fuse. Was going to but this adapter thinking it would be handy for when I go abroad but there's no fuse in it so definitely not. The plug on the hairdryer is round, I tried to find the type in a Google search, I think it's a type f but no idea. Any advice on where or what plug/adapter i can get that's safe to use in the UK for a hairdryer I use twice a week for about 15mins a time. I didn't think it was gonna be this hard finding 1🙈😆😆 Or maybe I should take it to an electrician to see if they'd cut if off & wire it into a UK plug for me🤷🏼♀️
I just bought it and tried it in my place is working here but I still have to try abroad to see if it gonna be working in other countries. The thing is that is not made smooth. It hurt finger to push and hold the plugs and very difficult to slide those buttons back and forth. It,s a struggle for me my nail broke within struggling. I tried to use something to slide those buttons didn't work. Well that's the price of a cheap material. Good enough as long as it works. I wave the rest:)
My adaptor doesn’t seem to be working at all… I’m in the UK and the American charger I have does not go in into the adaptor. I don’t understand what’s wrong. Does anyone know what to do to fix this¿
This adapter doesn't change voltage, only physical plug adaptation for a local outlet. So if the 120-volt device is rated for 120-240 volts, then you can safely use it with the adapter.
aL Quarter Does not have US ground plugs. It also rotatable to Australian slant plug 30 degree angle and US vertical. For use in China with only 3 pin outlets and cannot plug 2 pin AU on 3 pin outlets because of it’s shutters, just need a piece of broken US plug chopped in half to plug into earth pin outlet first, then 2 pin AU plug (live and neutral).
The only grounded equipment one carries is a laptop charger and it is plastic. Some common sense. The real danger is that you can get two inputs out at the same time even accidentally,.
No. Even though it probably says 6 Amps 6A x 220V = 1320W, it's better not to use these cheap adapters for that current because they often have loose connections. Looks connections overheat and create fires. If your device has a removable cable then change it to a local one. If staying long term, cut off the plug and install a local one. Last choice, use a dedicated plug that only adapts one type. Ensure that there's a ground pin if your device has one.
Do the red indicator light remains on, throughout the charging?Or it just on in the beginning of charging and later disappeared?kindly clear or show vedio how it charges , mobile phone and powerbank at a time, through two USB
@@ElectronicsComputers but are the risk of blenders shredding my flesh and a stove bomb as high as just plainly accidentally open the plugs and shock you? All it takes for that shitty plug to kill its user is an accidental lock trigger that opens the US and/or UK connector.
Unfortunately I bought three of these before realising I simply can't use them - they lie in there advertising about it having a "BS Standard" and the product claims to have a surge protector which it doesn't - if you do try to use it the connection is poor the plug gets hot and live parts from the pins not in use can in some cases be expossed - it's a child killer in waiting and or will burn your house down and take your family with it - pay a bit more and get a quality product

Thank you so much.I had trouble using this and after watching I was able to figure the US one.

With this adapter you receive multiple ways to get shocked.
It's not likely if you use it the right way.
Very unsafe. Exposed live parts at the rear.
@tonyclark6618 A knife has exposed sharp blade, contact with which can be fatal. Will you still use it?
Surge protection is gimmick?
I am in the US and the green unlock/lock button is not moving so that I can use the US 'flat prongs.' Very frustrated... HELP!?
Try to push the US prongs inside and at the same time try to slide that switch.

The outlet in the adapter is stiff while it's new. Just push your plug with force into the adapter.

Thank you for your support!
it seems it doesn't have surge protector or even a fuse
That's right!
Can you tell please which port would be used in china out of all 4.... ????
The same as in US but you have to twist the prongs at about 45 degrees angle.
Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
So from USA to UK/IRELAND I don't need a surge protector? This device is all I will need ?
It's a simple adapter that is sold everywhere and it covers all your needs. There's also a model with USB ports. That's all you need for travel.
May i know how to use it for laptop charger of EU in India?
Forgive my ignorance, but if I go to the UAE, which part should I connect to the power outlet?
In UAE, there's the same type of outlets like in the United Kingdom.
Your a lifesaver ❤
