One of the few rational data-driven sources of information. A no-regrets sub.
I'm also curious if the heat in Thailand and that region has a noticeable effect on the spread of SC2 virus; if going into spring and summer weather will make a difference for the rest of the globe or not.

The idea of trusting people to be honest about travel history when admitted to a hospital with symptoms seems dangerous to me, as your discussion of "Grandpa" illustrate. I wonder why it should not be required to prove travel history (or lack thereof) simply by being required to present a passport upon admission? Maybe I'm missing something, but that sounds like a prudent thing to require in order to prevent what may have happened at BK Hospital. I mean, who know how many people may have been exposed and perhaps infected. I think this is really serious because it only takes one case like this to potentially start an epidemic. I'm not saying this as a scaremonger, only a realist.

I've thought about the same thing with passports. In fact, I've heard of one international school in Bangkok asking people to present their passports before sending their kids into school. One loophole would be if people claim they don't have a passport. There's really no way to verify that claim. The other thing is practicality. Most people would not know or think ahead of time to bring it along. But, I'm with you. I've begun documenting mine and my foreign students' travel histories, and one reason I've done it is to "prove" we haven't been to at-risk areas in case we face any trouble

Is there anyway to post a graph to you for feedback that I saw of Thai PUI numbers by date for pneumonia? I'm curious because pneumonia PUI's seem exponential from 09 January to present, and show up on the Ministry's website as COVID-19 PUI, but the actual confirmed cases of COVID-19 seems to remain almost static. Should confirmed be remaining so unchanged? It just does not make sense to me since the PUI became exponential in the same timeframe that COVID-19 began to be reported outside of China so it would be reasonable to assume that these pneumonia PUI's may indeed to related to the virus.

He said in a previous video there are other diseases with similar symptoms going around in Thailand right now. In this case it could be they have Influenza A and got tested for Covid-19 with negative result because the symptoms are so similar.
