- Geras is the Time Keeper of the MK Universe. He and Liu Kang alone possess knowledge of Past, Present and Futures of all of the fighters. Other fighters get upset with Geras when they believe he is deceiving them, or even worse, rigging the timeline for bad reasons.

No wonder Kronika went mad, everyone complaining and wanting their own version of “perfect”, so she tried to take it to the extreme. Don’t blame Liu Kang for giving up the power and putting the timeline on cruise control and see where it went
Yes, Liu had an intro where he said that's what drove her mad. Even Kronika has a redeeming background in MK1

Saving children from starving to death, by killing other children quickly and painlessly as can be, when no other way is feasible, is justifiable, only if absolutely genuinely sure. I don't know thay children have been killed in the attack, that blitz, nor that this justification sincerely applies if they did kill children... just food for thought.

I don't hate Geras.
Geras high key the bro of all time my guy does everything he’s asked of and more and sympathizes with enemies and allies alike like how can you hate on my boy he’s a walking JoJo’s reference
Hopefully, his tower ending confirms he's out of the plot for future games. As well as the plot no longer revolving around multiverse BS.
He's got cool looks, moves and voice but in both MK1 and MK11 he's just a construct serving his creator, with the only difference is being more verbal in MK1. In both versions he's got some freedom to act in order to fulfill given objective but that's about where his agency ends.
He also had a unique trait in MK11 which was the fact he knew everything about different eras and timelines. But in MK1 that's a trait shared by Liu Kang as well.
I still can’t believe that they voiced Geras the same as Kotal Kahn
Well if you've seen Liu Kang's ladder ending, Geras will be the one to succeed him as Protector of Earthrealm when the time comes.
