      I think the ZR2 Colorado is the most off-road Worthy medium size pickup., at least from Chevrolet. Though I do think the Silverado did pretty well for a half ton full size truck. But I agree with your other statement as well, Ford builds some pretty nice off-road stuff, this vehicle is definitely not one of those. It's not meant to be.

There was a little slope to his lawn when the grass was wet he was "stuck". I think the Silverado had the best suited tires but lacks majorly in suspension articulation, hints why it failed the first obstacle and did as good as the proven Gladiator in the second obstacle. I put those Falken Wildpeaks on my F150 and they are by far the best tire I have ever used. They wear like iron, are reasonably quiet and have great traction in snow/ice. I have 35k miles on mine and they still have 80% tread left. I won't buy another tire

    The G80 diff only works up to 35 mph (as seen by the diff). That's why it failed the first obstacle and beat the second challenge. The first one you spun it to a speed where it disengaged. The second you kept it low and steady, which kept it locked and putting the power into forward motion.

    What's going on with TFL? Seems like they took the Rebel to a shop to start modding it on the way home from the dealer lot! The Ford 250 still has its OEM tires on it. I thought they were supposed to try to build their own Tremor?

      Robert Cone they are busy moving to a new location / studio building.

    • @RobertCone
      @RobertCone 4 роки тому

      @@RyanRKJ It's my understanding that they don't mod the vehicles themselves anyway, they order the parts and drop them off at a shop. So them moving shouldn't have an impact. Especially when they've got the Rubicon and Trailboss to make vids with while the 250 is getting upfitted.

    • @RyanRKJ
      @RyanRKJ 4 роки тому +1

      Robert Cone fair point. However, it still takes time and effort to get the parts from sponsors or vendors, and coordinate with a local shop to get the installs done. TFL always has a lot on the go. Personally, I like a fair bit of stock testing before the mods. It makes for more thorough before and after comparisons.

    Could you do a review on your take of the best off road all terrain tire available currently? Please include the the Falken wildpeak at3w to see how it stacks up against the duratracs and ko2 among others. A lot of videos seem to leave the Falken out.

    I’m disappointed the Ford didn’t do better. But I will start making excuses. The Chevy and the Jeep were each in their most off road worthy packages. The ford FX4 is only mid grade in fords offering. i would like to think the tremor with a limited slip front differential and better tires would get up just fine.

  • @simontallboy209

    It would be interesting to see how the trucks do on the same tire. I wonder if there are any tire manufacturers who would be interested in supplying the same off road tire for each truck. I'm sure the results would be roughly the same, but it would be interesting to see if they were closer on the same tire, especially since the F250 is let down by it's tires.
