- Custom song by Glen. I'm pleased with the progress I've made on this song in the past week. Still need some practice on the intro and the very last part of the solo though.

Can someone tell me where I can find this and other custom songs and put them into the game? I just got the game today so I'm completely new to the whole CDLC thing.

It's better to play along with videos of rocksmith using an amp than it is to actually play it. For me, I get a slight delay in the sound of my own guitar in-game and it makes playing quickly almost impossible since the delay is long enough to put you a whole 16th note off or more.
try hooking up external speakers or use headphones. the lag goes away, also don't forget exclusive audio mode
@@Allan-re7hl I do use headphones, very nice ones. I also wouldn't want to play without hearing myself because that can build bad habits. I just don't know why a game made specifically to play along with music would have an issue like delay. Seems like that should be priority #1 for the devs
Because HDMI does not carry audio very well. If you're using analog 3.5mm connection to your PC, there should be no delay.

Rock on! I've been struggling with this cdlc. I can't quite get tuning right even after calibrating...the tuning just seems off. What kind of gear are you rockin? Are you using rocksmith cable?
Jean Frank Epiphone G400 with the Rocksmith cable. I believe this song is actually tuned a bit sharp and depending on what custom you are using it might not be correct in-game. You could always try just tuning your guitar 10-15 cents sharp when you start the song and see if it sounds better to you.

some of the notes were wrong in the intro solo, like not played wrong just wrong.
how do you play that note at 3:05 on 12th fret GBe string? is it mute or ?
Lightly touch the strings with your finger and strum, no pressure at all on the string. Need to have the finger right over the fret to be in the right spot for it to ring out. It's pretty easy to get down, just do it with 1 string at first. Then you will see how much you can touch the string before it won't produce a note.
@@Xyberlix so its not really a mute, just a placement over note so the string does not vibrate, got it , seems like a niche detail, while in fact it cant really produce a tone or melody anyway, can it? :D thanks!

Does anyone know if pull offs used at 0:32 ? because it seems like that would be akward to alternate pick all of that instead of sweep picking with pull offs.

Noob help, how do you play patterns that look like the ones at 5:35? I see them quite often in songs, just a couple examples would be free bird and crazy train. But I have no idea how to play them, is it a specific method?
Hold the E and B string with your index finger on the 7th fret. Start with a down stroke on G and do the bend, go down to the E string and play with with an upstroke, then play the B string with a downstroke and do the pull-off to 7th fret. Index finger never leaves the fretboard. Just do it slowly to get the feel for it and work your way up to faster speeds. This is at least how I do it and some other picking pattern might be better, but that way works the best for me.

The songs for rocksmith have their own settings for tones, if you own the game and have the CDLC you would already have them, otherwise they'd be custom tones

Turning down the difficulty doesn't help much when trying to learn the song. It's better to have all the notes and just use riff repeater to slow it down to like 50% or slower and slowly work your way up to full speed.

+Kalub Wiedner Custom songs only work on PC, 360 and PS3 because you need a modded console to use them.

Josue Isai 72 I have rock smith too and I’ve noticed on a less expensive guitar especially with humbuckers the higher note tremolo, and bending, it doesn’t detect then
I think it's got a lot to do with that it's supposed to be a up stroke and people bend it up too early

PRS Markush On PC you need to own 1 DLC song and use a certain file so customs will load.

I know this is 4 years late. Rocksmith (technically Ubisoft) needs permissions from the copyright owners of all the songs they use. They couldn't get Metallica for some reason so that's why there are no official songs on the store. All of the videos you see of people playing Metallica songs in Rocksmith are custom DLC. There are a community of people who make the songs for the game as custom. T they're not official so the quality of the tones and notes can be questionable.
None of that matters anymore since the game is delisted so you can't get the game officially anymore. You can, however, subscribe to the Rocksmith+ game which does include some Metallica songs.

For 95% of my uploads the tuning is in the stats screen at the end. :)

+luis 08 No and from what I have heard that doesn't work very well with the game.
Was curious because of the noise at the beginning of the video, I'm currently using that patch and i get a lot of that noise and in general the tone isn't that good.
Already bought the cable, just waiting for the delivery.
+luis 08 Lots of high gain tones in the game can cause that sound when you touch the strings and it picks up some noise.
line-in gets more delay, at first I turn the guitar into the computer, and then I switch to cable combo

you know its played on 2 guitars right? it isnt possible to play both parts on the same guitar as the parts are built through the same scale.
I heard one person they played rock smith for over three years and only learned two songs.
i once played this in my music school, i was so nervous that i couldn't listen to my own guitar, and no, arthur, gabi, henrique, roberto, i dont like playing music this way, i dont want to be like you.
