Hi Atty Joyce. I'm your follower now😂
Hello, Ethel! Welcome 😊
When I came here to Canada twenty years ago, my expectations were too high lots of plans, what ages I would stop working or early retirement per se now I'm going to be sixty but still working, and I am in a high-paying job making five figures in annually. Yeah, living in Canada is good when you find a stable job but there are disadvantages to high-paying jobs as he mentioned opportunities job getting a high income of CS$93,247 the tax deducted on that is CS$ 32,637, 35% goes to the government add the provincial taxes, CPP EI, health insurances, etc... same as low-income jobs, for example, you received CS$ 1500 every two you take home money maybe around CS$ 1000 to 900 and the rest go to your taxes. The standard of living in Canada is expensive, house rent, food, clothing, etc. I am not discouraging people who dream of living and migrating to Canada but please research first there are lots of vloggers telling the real life in Canada.
Love the example you presented. Very true indeed cost of living is really high, hence it’s hard to save and buy your own place. If you don’t mind where in Canada are you residing?
Shouldn’t you be earning at least 6 figures by now?
@@kathiemathias212 not this time, the economy still bad since 2014 up to now most people I known loss their job and some companies that dealt with in two decades are shutting down, I closed my company's door six years ago and started to be a employee again luckily I got a job to survive.
I left Canada decades ago because of the high and progressive tax system. I noticed half of my earnings were going to taxes (income and sales tax). I moved to HK and our household income tax is currently 6%. It's a huge difference being able to pocket an extra 44% that would have gone to taxes in Canada.
That is true boss@@robocop581
Galing ng vlog na ito John. Anyways, good luck the job you are aiming for. We are rooting for you.

This is a great video! You have a new subscriber here! Just turned 2 years here in Canada and luckily enough I was able to do few of the steps here. I was also lucky to transition on the same work and level I have in the Philippines. I really loved the detail you have on work BC. Hope to learn more on your future videos!
Hello welcome to the channel! 😁 Salamat sa pagsubscribe 👍 Happy 2 years saiyo sa Canada. Saan ka pala sa Canada? Nakakatuwa naman ang experience mo, you’re one of the lucky one’s na nakatransition agad sa type of work mo sa Pilipinas. Sana mabasa ng lahat un comment mo dahil nakakainspire. Salamat sa pag appreciate ng video namin welcome ulit sa aming munting pamilya 😊
@@LifeWithTheCoronels hi po, dito kami ng wife ko sa Surrey. My wife is studying nursing and ako ung spousal OWP. I watched yung budgeting video nyo and was really helpful as well lalo ung tip nyo on paying your housing mortgage. I shared your videos doon sa mga friends ko na takot sa lower mainland for being expensive. Sometimes people should not just look kung saan lang mura cost of living but check where yung opportunities din para sa kanila within Canada.
@@paoloincanada Maraming salamat Bro! Ang lapit mo lang pala 😁 Let me know if mapadpad ka sa richmond hehehe. Agree ako syo jan. Sayang ang opportunity if iiwasan ang mainland. Minsan lakasan lang tlga ng loob nakaka intimidate lang siguro at first dahil madaming nagsasabi mataas ang cost of living. Pero as long as dalawa ang nagwowork sa isang household kakayanin naman.
I'm going to wait for two more years and see what you going to say.
@@balladeer3760 yeah will check the future. But just to give you a perspective I came from the Philippines. On the contrary of people saying that taxes is higher here. On my current earnings and my earnings before in the Philippines I both experience 35% tax. At least here you see where your taxes go.
