Just fyi, Ali, they dont use ‘po’ in Cebu. ‘Po’ is Tagalog. They dont say ‘po’ in Cebuano/Bisaya. Just say ‘Salamat’. You can also say ‘Maayo’ it’s a common greeting in Cebuano, sort of like saying Hello. ‘Masarap’ in Bisaya/Cebuano is ‘Lami’ /la MEE’/ . Just because it’s a squatter area doesnt necessarily mean they’re the real culture. The middle and upper classes are just as much part of the culture. Whether they have a lot of money or not, the culture is the same. It’s good to have the full spectrum.

Not in Cebu. Cebuanos don't use po and opo. It's a Tagalog thing. Cebuano speakers using po and opo are cringey.

Hi Ali. As I listened to the woman who talked with you in the bananacue store, She is not angry or what. It’s just the heavy accent of the Visayan Region. If you heard the president talking, he has almost the same accent. Never the less they are nice people. They just sound angry.😅😅😅

Kuya in Tagalog and Manong in Visaya. You can call Kuya or Manong if they are older than you, not call Kuya to younger than you. You can address; Boss if you were the same age level.

I have been all over the world and I found it to be one of the nicest places I have ever been.

if you ever have time to travel the nothern part of the country, best place would be ilocos region, cordillera(mountainous) region, and batanes which is pretty much considered the most beautiful province in the philippines.

Just fyi, Ali, they dont use ‘po’ in Cebu. ‘Po’ is Tagalog. They dont say ‘po’ in Cebuano/Bisaya. Just say ‘Salamat’. You can also say ‘Maayo’ it’s a common greeting in Cebuano, sort of like saying Hello.
‘Masarap’ in Bisaya/Cebuano is ‘Lami’ /la MEE’/ .
Just because it’s a squatter area doesnt necessarily mean they’re the real culture. The middle and upper classes are just as much part of the culture. Whether they have a lot of money or not, the culture is the same. It’s good to have the full spectrum.
Ali, "salamat kaayo" (kah-ah-yo) means thank you very much in cebuano/bisaya. It's a very common phrase in visayas area.
