We finished lesson 10 today and are really enjoying it! It’s been a lot of fun digger deeper into all of these civilizations 😊 my kids haven’t made a brochure yet so we are good to go on that. I can’t wait to see how they do. Love the theme park idea you came up with, as we are in Southern California and frequent theme parks very often!!

Great review! We are starting Aciants next month and I'm so excited. I'm really happy you reviewed it honestly so I can adjust some plans I have. Do you have a TPT account that us non tech Mama's can get your rubric, theme park outline,
seatwork pages etc? I just can't make those things on a computer no matter how much I try. I always love the pages you create.
I absolutely love the sweater you're wearing, is that something you'd be willing share where you got it? ❤️

Thanks for your kind words. The generic rubric I use to grade can be found here: www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/General-Classwork-Rubric-818698
As for the theme park stuff, I typed it up real quick and I didn’t save it.
The Seatwork Journal can be found in the Files section of the Gather Round Homeschool Facebook Community.
My sweater is from Old Navy, but I have probably had it for 5-6 years.

We just finished this and loved it! Moving on to Middle Ages and it looks even better!! If that’s possible

We are excited for Middle Ages. What is the writing project in that unit?

@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife making a newspaper or magazine. The first one is a title to the newspaper, adding a comic and I guess later just all the diff parts.

Another excellent review! I absolutely love history and my 4th grade son is starting to really enjoy it too so adding this to my list to do 😂
We have the Middle Ages unit already so do you think it would be better to ancient civilization before Middle Ages?
Right now we are in the middle of US history and plan on finishing this school year out with that but planning for next year😂

Gather Round says that it doesn’t really matter the order, but we started with Ancients. Then, we will do Vikings, Middle Ages, and the Renaissance.

My oldest is doing biblical, Christian and church history and we are using Middle Ages as a family!!! I’ve thought of this unit!!! His history credit is “Christian” history!!! It sounds intense and awesome!!! I love that it made it real as my twins say history class seems un real and ppl couldn’t have lived in that time!!! We are interested in earth science but only what applies to our area of the world as weather events happen!!! We only do language arts as needed!!! We love TGTB writing guidance!!!

@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife I’m still exploring, but will be trying out the free sample of IEW and Fix It Grammar next month when we do our South America unit. I’m also considering Beowulf Grammar instead of Fix It Grammar since it takes a totally different hands-on approach. But I’m hoping my boys like IEW 🙏🏻

Thank you for sharing your insight. I always come to your channel to see the inside of the units. I love that you follow-up with a review. You have great ideas and it helps me think outside "the box." I have a middle school boy and a high school boy (9th). I'm trying to work the units out for credits. I'm not sure if you have ever heard of Bravewriter, but she has some amazing resources for the language/writing part.

Man! I really want to visit your son's theme park! Sounds amazing!
We have been loving this unit as an accessory to our Ancient History/Classic Christian Studies. When I realized my 3rd grader fell right in between early and upper elementary for the Journaling pages, I went head and just sprang for the full family package and print whatever feels right for each lesson. I plan to revisit and use the high school stuff when she takes ancient world history again at that level because I really like what I see there. I agree the LA and Science components aren't quite enough for us, but that's OK because we have other stuff we are using for those anyway. Thanks for this review! ❤️
