We love Italy, the Dolomites is our all time favorite place and every time we go back we find more beautiful adventures. You have a wonderful country😀🇮🇹 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
By the way .. have you guys been to Norway .. we spent 12 weeks in the van there last year .. simply incredible for hiking .. biking and van tactic ness ... is that a word (or 3) ... expensive ... yeah .. but the views are free so it balances itself out :)
That one needs a big dot😀 one of the best in the Dolomites, you’ll probably be adding another when you see next Monday nights video😀 cheers…Andy&Michelle
Fantastic! 😀 just one word of caution if you are planning on going now (end of May) the tunnels can be still full of snow this time of year. Cheers...Andy&Michelle
WOW WOW WOW 🤩 loved it viewing from our caravan lounge, rather you than me but what amazing views and an awesome vlog. Great to see the beer, aperol spritz and cake well deserved from the top of the world. From your kiwi friends D&D x 🇳🇿🏔
So pleased to hear you loved it, we really love this one too. Yes and we managed to get a full house of food and drink on this one!🍺🍹🧁🍰 cheers...Andy&Michelle🇳🇿❤️
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it😀 to be honest this might not be open in June due to remaining snow in the tunnels. It's still worth taking the cable car up and having a walk around if its clear though. There are so many great hikes in Cortina you will be spoilt for choice. The video coming out next Monday is from Fanes waterfall which is an absolute must. Hire yourself a via Ferrata kit and try this easy grade A/B, you won't be disappointed. Also have you seen this? Fantastic info in it www.dolomiti.org/storage/13857/Cortina_Sentieri_Hiking_Map_web.pdf cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Thank you very much for this information regarding the walks and the link map for the area. Look forward to the next video 😎⛰️🇮🇹💙Cheers Andy & Debs
Yes the descent wouldn’t be possible for dogs as there’s a couple of climb down sections, I’ve no idea if dogs are allowed on the tunnels, I’m assuming you have athletic dogs😀 the refuge at the top is dog friendly according to to google😀 cheers…Andy&Michelle
Did that 20 years ago and looks just tha same . good reminder . Laughed when you said about going down scree on your bum as on that same holiday you had to decend a steep bit on your bum. A lady had designer shorts on so to save them off they came and slid down in her knickers..
We want to do it again and explore all the tunnels off the main one some day 😀 a lady taking off her shorts and sliding down in her knickers would have given us a viral video!! 🩲 🤣 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Via Feratta usually mean yr clipped onto the wire for safety ? 🤪 Where do you find al of these EXTREME adventures 🚐💨❤
There was only one 20m section out of the whole hike where clipping on would have been reassuring so not worth carrying the kit! 🤣 The adventures just seem to find us, I guess we go to the places where there's interest and seek out them on maps / campsite reccomendations / google. After returning home I found this, enough here to keep us busy for a season! www.dolomiti.org/storage/13857/Cortina_Sentieri_Hiking_Map_web.pdf Cheers...Andy&Michelle
It was a great adventure, one of our favourites😀 Our ebikes are a 2018 model (Giant Dirt ePro+), they are discontinued now but you will be able to find something equivalent. Key buying choices in my opinion are 250W motor, min 500Wh Battery and drop seat. When we change our bikes we will go for full suspension next time to give a better off-road ride. If you haven't seen it we made a review of our bikes: ua-cam.com/video/VW3mMVVVI9E/v-deo.html We would also consider other big brands next time like Cube, Specialised, Trek as well as Giant. Cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Wow thanks for the info. It’s great to know what we will need to do the adventures you’ve been on. We looked at the cubes last week. The full suspension is amazing. The husband now wants to do the Lagazuoi Tunnels 🙄wish me luck!
Interesting but difficult question as they are very different experiences, both the Tunnels and the Cinque Torri are high on our all time favourites. The Open Air Museum was very good but doesn't make it into our all time favourites. I think the tunnels slightly edge it but it needs to be the right weather for the views 😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Amazing - went up there last year on the last day of a cycling holiday but the weather was rank - you’ve inspired me to try that descent though !! How long did that take you ? 👍
Great to hear we've inspired you to try the descent, it took us 1hr 20mins but we were on a mission to get the bus so just under 2hrs would be reasonable. Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Hi, this was filmed in September 2023. Early in the season Cortina will still have a lot of snow around on the mountains, Cortina itself is higher than Snowdon so if the weather isn't good you'll be in the clouds but if you get a clear day its wonderful. We've been there in the past and had to move south to somewhere like Riva del Garda / Arco while we waited for the sun to shine on Cortina, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Hi, its possible to descend but just harder as there’s a lot of steep steps, and most will be going up so you’ll meet people all the way, it is wide enough to pass though. Without helmets is manageable but not recommended , you’d need to be careful of the low roof and you’ll be in there for quite a time, also it’s dark so a good torch is a must. Not sure what time of year you plan on going but it can be closed due to snow right up until around July. Enjoy, the tunnels are great 😊 Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures I'm doing it the beginning of September. We're doing the Alta Via 1 and I don't own a helmet, nor do I want to carry one on the entire trek. I think I'm going to take my chances and be careful. Thanks for the video, loved seeing what I'm getting myself into. :)

Stunning, but I glad you did that so I don't have to :)
You're welcome 😀 we had a great time, cheers...Andy&Michelle
