- If you've used a straight glass cutter, you know the importance of applied pressure and cutting oil. You must have oil seeping into your score to get a successful break in the next step of the process. You must also be appying an apt aomount of pressure into your score to make a significant cut. Other than that, everything else I will explain in the video! Comment with questions, comments, or concerns,. Get fusing!

JAJAJAJA no mostro la parte mas importante que banana
Love it can you do a video of it from the start please.
What would you consider the "Start"? I can see what I can do!
@@AaronFortin how to make the bowl from the start, thank you in anticipation. X
Yes, I'd love to see the entire process from cutting and layering the glass to firing and finishing. You do beautiful work Aaron!
Wow. How did you separate it after scoring?
For time sake, I didn't show the removal In this video becuause it does that always happen so smoothly.
You can also see how it's done on a smaller scale In my other video, ua-cam.com/video/lt_P5rojh6c/v-deo.html
Really awesome piece! Was this made from a combination of part sheets?
It sure was. Over a years worth of experimental part sheets.
@@AaronFortin Just gorgeous! My new inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Why didn't you show how you actually removed the base????????????????????
@@kaymcconnell4221 it's not as pretty. It's a lot of tugging and pulling and re-tapping on your score line to separate the base.
You are using a carbide cutter, not a drill bit. And the oil lubricates the cutter and prolongs its life, making for a smoother cut. The cutting wheel rotates on a small axis that moves better when lubricated. I've never heard that the oil opens up the cut. It's a beautiful piece and you are brave to score and break something like that, but the info isn't quite right.
My terminology is definitely inaccurate in this video. It's a cutter head, correct. Cutting oil helps initiate and keep your score alive, it doesn't technically "open up your score", that's just creative speaking on my part. Appreciated your feedback, I'll be as specific as I can with my words in the future 👍
