I was assaulted with a baseball bat 7 years ago. Was put in a medically induced coma. It's been a struggle ever since. My own kids have said its like Dad isn't all there... it's difficult!! Especially when your doctors have no experience with this...

    I'm 60 years old.
    At 10, I received a major tbi.
    Back of my head.
I have had mood swings so bad at times, I literally, lock myself away.
50 years go by and not one doctor asked me about mood swings, temperament, anxiety, anger etc.
    Ty for the video.

I suffered a severe traumatic brain injury on 03/31/2018 and a crushed right shoulder. I've suffered multiple T. I. A.'s (14 last count) I have 47 lesions on my brain and multiple concussions after that from falls. I have herniated disc's in my spine that has now caused me to be incontinent. I will be 60 this year. All of my family and friends except my brother have totally disowned me. No one wants to talk about it. I am on an antidepressant but there are weeks at a time that I sleep all day, don't eat or keep up with my hygiene. I pray for those who have suffered like me because it is a living hell!

What do you recommend ? From morning to morning you know the futility of thought. It brings out fear, not a fear that is beneficial. But the only awareness is of loss. Loss of intimacy....of touch...and the greatest of thoes time.

I had a car accident and suffered TBI. I tried to explain to my family but they were unsupportive and not willing to understand. I became so depressed, had mood swings and suffered trauma induced anxiety while naturally being an upbeat and positive individual before. Once I realized it was TBI I was able to heal better. You have to let it heal itself. It took years for me to gain my memory and heal. I am still healing but left with many broken relationships while suffering from TBI. All you can do is your best. 😔

I was told that the fact that I had depression before the car accident, that it doesn't matter that I am more disabled, cannot file against person who hit me! I feel like my life is not as valuable as the tailgate on the truck I was in as a passenger. Every day I live in the twilight zone of a world with screwed up values and greed!

Couple years ago I slipped on the road going down hill to work knocked myself out..woke up to a man's voice calling out to me asking if I was ok.
Year later almost the exact same spot I slipped again, same thing again but my cousin was with me
Neither of these times did I go get checked😏..after the first time I knew I felt different after
After the second time..I was afraid to leave the house..I was also very over weight when I fell ..
I'm wondering if that can be the same as other head injuries.. I had depression before..now I don't know how I'm still alive so many suicidal thoughts..walked away from my life..I'm down to nothing..my brother is helpful but for how long
