    Thanks for the FULL match of ZHANG Jike - Timo BOLL | Final between GER vs CHN.
    a little wonder why your 480p video has size of 473 MB (FLV) much bigger than other upload of 720HD of just 150 MB :-) i guess the meaning of FULL match may have different meaning here :D will grab both to see the difference.

    When I was young, I used to worry that people outside China may abandon this game since we win too much. People like Boll made me realize that there are lots of people just like this game as much as we do.

    Do you guys have any idea how much the rules of this game have changed, all designed to the disadvantage of the Chinese so that Europeans could play better. Ball getting bigger and the set points getting fewer from 21 to 11 to increase the chance of luck instead of steady table tennis skills.

  • @Leradaegeum
    @Leradaegeum 12 років тому

    Well, before Zhang agreed to re do the ball because it was a net ball, but the referee still counted it. So ater the time out they talked to the ref and he changed the score.
    Very fair game of the chinese!

    The Chinese learned from the Swedes back in the 1970s, 80s when the Swedes were the masters of the game. The Swedes in turned learned from the Japanese when the Japanese were dominant in the game in the 1950s and 1960s. So, there is no permanent hold onto the title of being the masters of the sport. If a country nutures TT players who can innovate, experiment, work hard at all aspects of the game and train as rigorously as the Chinese they will be masters.

    Hehe don't need to worry ping pong is being played everywhere :) I'm from Poland it was my favorite game to play in school, you can also find stone tennis tables in public places where people play. Maybe your nation is best but thats not the reason to look down on thissport.

    I am definitely not gay. Just trying to find a friend to share interest with since we both like table tennis. I like the way Qian Wan's logical analysis works, so that's why. I don't make friends casually with anyone.
    Also, I don't know if Qian Wan's a lady of guy.

    That's a great attitude to have! :) but I really think the Chinese are the masters of this sport.

    Hi, Qian Wan! After talking to u for a while now, I would like to keep in touch with u through a more personal and private channel.
    Is it possible for us to communicate through email or do u have a facebook? Thanks! Where are u from? Do u mind giving a brief intro of yourself (gender/occupation/interests/country/age if possible)?
    Just hope to be friends with u! By the way, I am not really complaining, but making the facts known in case others don't know.

    There were such people outside China before Boll. What about Waldner?

    Didn't understand why in the 3rd set, after the time-out at 7-9 for Zhang (around 29th minute), Boll has talked to the umpire and the score went back to 7-8? Can anyone who speaks german help? Thx.

  • @MadSwede3
    @MadSwede3 12 років тому

    that is exactly why i play this game and to be better than waldner ever was

  • @ManHeyuan
    @ManHeyuan 12 років тому

    That's part of the reasons only. They always try to legitimise whatever bias they have! The official reason for the points reducing from 21 to 11 is to make the game more thrilling!
    Now, here's the funny paradox - the ball speed would be slower when the ball's bigger - is that more thrilling? Actually, Romney sounded over the top when he chided at China for her London performance! Let me remind him that China is playing according to your rules! Think you are really that great?!

    It's commonly done between points to dry a little the sweat off the hand that holds the racket. and also a ritualistic thing, i suppose.

    the swedes were the masters of the game in the 70s and 80s? dont think so. bengtsson was world champ in 71, then they faced china in the 83 and 87 world champs, and waldner was in the finals in 87, and won in 89. But based on those results, the Chinese and Japanese had better results. In fact, in the 70s, the hungarians and yugoslavs did better than the swedes. you are partly correct in saying no country has a permanent hold - but China has been dominating - except the 60s and early 90s

    So all you gotta do is make the umpire smile and you get a point back? Hmmm.

    Know that China is limited to enter only some of the weight categories in weightlifting - a Chinese dominated sport?
    There's no table tennis doubles events because China has overwhelming superiority! Chinese table tennis singles players are being limited to 2 only when they could have easily swept all the 3 medals.
    In badminton, Chinese singles are being limited to max 3 players, provided the third player is ranked within top 4 in the world!
    These are just some examples!

    Wow really? Is English your second language? I said Chinese are the masters of the sport, I didn't say they will always be and I didn't say no one else would be able to master the sport in the future but they dominate the top 10 and are miles ahead in terms of technique. They're just great at it like they're shit at football. That's a fact based on the performance on current players themselves.

    Logic v name calling. I think you've lost the argument when you're swearing and calling people names. Don't get your knickers in a twist because I've pointed out that you can't read or defend your point properly.
