Great video. It’s also worth noting that, in addition to using R3, you can also double tap sprint to do a knock on, a la PES. I find it useful to do this when I’ve already got the advantage on my opponent, because it guarantees that you’ll knock the ball straight in front of you. With R3 you can easily knock it on at an angle, which kills your momentum enough to lose a foot race with a defender.
I don't think the dribbling is the issue. The issue is with CMs or CDMs staring at the opponent instead of tracking back. Even w the correct player roles

@@xjjtvx2533 people are higher divisions are just very good at defensive spacing. They'll often use second-man press on the ball barrier while cutting off passing lanes with their active player and even using double-tap R1 to squeeze the other options
I found out from another vid you just keep pressing and 2nd pressing at same time but keep changing players as you get close so your like 3-4 player pressing

I have been struggling as I used to mainly left stick dribble and ground pass but with the state of both in this game I need to adapt. I will practice the dribbling variations and hopefully can improve on my 9-6 weekend league result. So far I find myself panicking against teams that constantly press yet simultaneously feeling out of options if I get the ball into the attacking 3rd.

Update: Normally I can get promoted to the elite league without any problems but this year I was struggling in the first league for a week without getting promoted, yesterday after the tutorial I managed it. Less R2 more R1 controll dribbling, winning time with L1 to find space and pass options and also R2+L2 dribbling is back this year!

The strong AI plays a part in this but also my lack of composure this year. There are games I can play and dribble like a god but when the gameplay is slow and unresponsive I feel completely lost especially when my opponent is pressing high.
I agree on every word. I used to feel like having control, and just by rating the skills of my opponent how the match would go by. But this actually is the first year I just cant, its too slow and im just feeling to many games I am fighting with my own controller too much. In the past you would be the better player by being able to thinking and act faster, now u being rewarded for ultimately patient and sweaty.

They literally removed the funnest part of fifa. I haven’t played since 2015 until this year, and my god WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO THE GAME? You can’t pass? You can’t dribble? Does everyone just pass pass pass pass pass pass now? BORING. None of us ever loaded up FIFA to pass 50x before scoring. We all loved loading it up, and cooking the hell out of your mate with left stick dribbling. Shit game and no wonder I see so many bad reviews on it.

Yeah i still use L1 alot, it’s not as effective. L2+R2 is great for side to side movements. It’s really quick and hard to follow. Only issue it has is when you go out of it so i use it to move around then press R1/R2 depending on how much space i have.
The unfortunate truth about eafc is the creators are knee deep in making a living off of this game and it will never get fixed cause they will never tell the truth about it.
because these creators try to explain dribbling like this game is real football when it’s not. So many combinations between the L1/R1, L2/R2, L3, left stick, right stick movement and skilling. They all give different combos/ways to move ur player and these guys explain it with decisions and blah blah blah like it’s real football instead of just saying what they press to do that like a video game.
Do these tutorials work for people with high ping and also playing on shitty servers because a multi billion dollars company refuse to have more servers around the world... highly doubt these tutorials would work under these conditions
They work no matter the ping, you're not playing into mechanics, you're playing to decisions. I haven't played high ping this year but did get 20-0 last year in december at 70 ping playing like this.
PS5 is notorious for bad players, this is why in this video, all of your opponents are diving in for tackles and not a single person jockeys you. Much harder on xbox.

You can also activate team dressing using the D pad
I found out from another vid you just keep pressing and 2nd pressing at same time but keep changing players as you get close so your like 3-4 player pressing

I could dribbles endlessly in the past around defenders, now its nerfed to the max. This helps a bit but still nothing near fifa 20/21/22

Dribbling literally means to beat your opponent. The misconception is that you need pace or skills to do so
