Metallic Dot Blob Painting on Wood Canvas

- This is a metallic dot blob painting I did on my TikTok live. I used chroma metallic paints that I got on Amazon in every color they offer; three golds, copper, silver and bronze. This is a heavier paint than say Decoart metallics and dry nicely. I mix the paint with glue and varnish. I use the torch in between to get out the bubbles. I prepped the canvas with gesso, then painted it black and white. The dots when wet are a different color than when they are dried. The end result is beautiful. #blobart #blobpainting #dotpainting #dots #dotpainting #dotartwork #acrylicpainting #painting #acrylicart #metallicpaint

Beautiful
Hello beautiful lady is Lisa from TikTok & IG ♥️
The colors actually darkened when they dried. Turned out amazing.
OMG!!!! I have these paints and literally just used them to create a patina effect mini easels while watching blob painting videos and this pops up on my UA-cam.
Awesome I would love to see your work. Are you on any other social media platforms where you share what you are doing?
I absolutely love this!!!
It's the metallics for me❤
Can you tell me your mixing ratio?
Thank you. I don’t remember on this painting but check out my earlier videos and I have one on a blob paint recipe. That’s my go to.
Супер, супер 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾😁
Would you mind sharing your painting recipes for the Chroma paints? I was thinking about using them for this technique.
My recipe is usually 1:1:1 ratio, paint glue and varnish. If I had this one to do over I would use much less paint. The chroma paints as you probably know are much heavier then a normal paint. It weighed down the dots normally, they stay puffier. I did notice in the description for this that I put that I used vinyl glue that was incorrect I’ve edited it. It was either mod-podge or glue-all those are my go-to’s. I would probably use half the amount of paint that I did before. And what’s interesting about these is that the metallics darken and as they dry, pretty cool. Have fun!!!
How do you get the blobs so round and even. Mine would go all over the place.
Concentration! 🥺😂
What do you use to seal your artwork?
Krylon Fine Art spray is my go to, I sometimes use varnish as well.
