- BVA Masters 2011 Lovebird Show
Some of the worlds finest Agapornis under one roof. Over 2100 birds on display this year - simply breath taking!
Once again, same old drill, excuse the dodgy camera work, it was shot with my iPhone ... again. I'm unlikely to ever buy a decent video camera, so if you want to see it properly, make sure you are there in 2012!!!!!!
Top quality birds
Como puedes tener a los animales así que clase de persona son
@54newbs
Worth joining facebook, lots of groups regarding lovebirds, full of photos etc. You can add me on there aswell if you need any advice or simply a birdy chat!
A good book worth buying is the Lovebird owners manual and reference guide, written by Dirk Van den Abeele. The best, most upto date book for lovebirds there is :)
Look at all those birbs :3

Hoooo *-*
Cool
Its kinda sad these birds wont have a taste of freedom.
They are domesticated birds so their sense of freedom will be no different to a dog or a cat. They could never survive in the wild.
Agapornis Personatus yeah its true, i have three of em and i always let them play outside the cage, cant wait to build them a bird gym this month :)
Keep in mind these are display cages meant for showing. These birds probably have a bit more back at home, and are interacted with and kept healthy by dedicated owners. It's just being at a show that makes it seem like it's a bit... sterile. Aside the show aspect, they all seem perky, active, and very healthy (noisy!).
very nice to see..
hmmm
akash ahmed hola Encantdo Spanish for hello nice to meet you
When I show this voice to my live birds they too make noise
This video makes me sad :(
Why does it make you sad?
Because these birds are kept alone in cages like objects. It's sound maybe sentimental, but they are living creatures that must be free in the nature, for one example :(
These are show cages and they are only kept alone in these cages during a show, which is usually a one day event. After that the majority of responsible keepers will have their birds in large, spacious aviaries with other birds, toys, branches etc. These birds could never be free in nature, they are not wild birds and would never survive. Considering the populations are decreasing in the wild due to habit loss/change, the existence of the species really relies on controlled and selective breeding in captivity. Believe me, many of us serious bird keepers put a lot of time, care, dedication and love to our birds.
This are good arguments, and calm to hear. I can't know the backgrounds in this case from my side. It was just my first impression when I saw that video. I can imagine that the responsible (bird keepers) show their birds love and good attitude here. But the Human start the condition of the point of view for this captivity instead of wildlife. I own also a parrot bird and it makes me happy too, but on natural side animals have to be free.
