The Leg kicks that Jose threw were more useful back when Aldo specialized in them, the traditional Thai leg kick. Fighters are better now at using Thai leg kicks against you (Weidman vs Silva) checked kicks hurt, well placed kicks still hurt, and they leave you open for takedowns and counters. They are a power shot. Jon Jones throws a lot of leg kicks but they are not of the Thai variety, they are base down and aimed just above the front of the knee (oblique kick) these are the leg kicks that should be utilized now, Edson and Justin G still throw the chopping leg kick, and they get countered and hit the most in their division (SAPM) Leg kicks do not lead to very many stoppages (your neighborhood mma promotion aside) if I throw a kick and you catch it, time it for a counter strike or takedown that makes me wonder if my offense actually puts me in a poor defensive spot, is that single leg kick worth all the negatives. Sometimes it is, but only if they are setup with punches, Thai kicks are dangerous for both parties, everytime, clean or checked.

Fuck outa here.
The whole world knew Aldo was gonna lose.
No they didn't little kid ... aldo was 10 years undefeated he just beat mendes before this ... in fact nobody thought mcgregor would even beat mendes like aldo did but he did he knocked em tf out you kids just weren't there to see I guess mcgregor was definitely the underdog tho just like when he took the nate diaz fight on 3 weeks notice at 170lbs.
Jon Jones throws a lot of leg kicks but they are not of the Thai variety, they are base down and aimed just above the front of the knee (oblique kick) these are the leg kicks that should be utilized now, Edson and Justin G still throw the chopping leg kick, and they get countered and hit the most in their division (SAPM)
Leg kicks do not lead to very many stoppages (your neighborhood mma promotion aside) if I throw a kick and you catch it, time it for a counter strike or takedown that makes me wonder if my offense actually puts me in a poor defensive spot, is that single leg kick worth all the negatives. Sometimes it is, but only if they are setup with punches, Thai kicks are dangerous for both parties, everytime, clean or checked.
Andrew Nichols good points ... I love look kicks but fighters are timing them now for counters and take downs. 👌🏾
Came to hear about Frankie talking about Conor, end up hearing about Aldos leg kicks disappearing. Cool.
I've always wondered if Jose didnt have the energy to throw those kicks after USADA came in. Pettis too
Very true
google that drug testing debacle in Brazil when they tried to test him.
On the Korean Zombie fight he broke his foot on the first round kicking Zombie's knee. After that he started kicking very little.
Joe missed that Aldo joke “is he though”
He could of being a professional football player, noooooooo rogan
Obviously not but Ibrahimovic is a blackbelt in taekwando & his volley technique is amongst the best ever seen.
Conor never showed off after that win, he even said in the press conference after the Aldo fight that he’s a True champion and the only True Brazilian champ.
*What the fook?*
conor ITS JUST BUSINESS mcnugget
Aldo kicks hard because he has great technique. Not because he played football
Don’t ever come at the king 🇮🇪
Everyone did. This was the fight that made him.
Connor to beat Usman and win welterweight title mark my words
He might get tired by Round 3 against Usman.
Don't see it happening. Will come back here if you turn out to be right.
Na I can’t see him winning Usman , styles make fights . Usman is too big for him. I think McGregor should fight the winner if khabib Tony and if he comes out victorious , challenge Jorge masvidal for the bmf then call it a day
Conor is way too small for Usman
Aldo stopped throwing leg kicks after seeing Anderson Silva break his leg
And he would have beat him in an immediate rematch
Nunya Bizwacks who Conor would of beat him
He wouldn't see the 2nd round, ever
Aldo would have won the rematch I feel.
He didn’t even give him a rematch 🤷🏻♂️
"Highest incidents of acl blowouts" Joe needs to speak to freestyle bmx riders
yeah lets compare a game played by hundreds of millions around the world to a few virgins hoping around in a bicycle lmfao
@@Invin_cibles those bmx riders can do some crazy cool shit man, can't be easy pulling off those stunts in anyway
@@reservoirfrogs2177 Don't doubt that at all
Gunner Arsenal Hahahaha
It's a disgrace that Aldo didn't have a rematch.
2:17 who the fook is that guy?
Frankie stop bro he actz like conor avoided him but went up 2 weight classes and fought diaz twice then dropped to 155 and fought the champion there smh yea he avoided you smfh
joe saying "soccer" classic america
2:16
love it!
man jose aldo is the worlds toughest soccer player
frankie is a champ inside and outside the cage
I don’t understand why Conor hasn’t been on a podcast yet
Just goes to show you how polarizing of a figure that Conor is. He KO’s Aldo, and the moment it happens Edgar has a feeling he won’t get a chance to fight him. It’s not because Edgar isn’t qualified, he certainly has the credentials. He just knew that this moment in time of the Conor era is just bigger than anything he’s ever accomplished. Crazy
Joe really digs Edgar and it shows; deservedly so . . .
