Come on! How can Apple Weather map be the best when it is totally inaccurate?? It does not matter how well and fancy it is designed - it simply does not have the accurate information whether it is going rain or not! Its like 50:50 flipping the coin.....
Tons of bugs and tracking but mostly sharing of info so that’s why I don’t like it. Try POW. You never hear about the really good ones that are free just the same I same o and usually one of the previous one own the new ones and just changed names or added a new one once they got bad reviews on former one .
The one you started out with that is supplied with the iPhone, is not accurate. My phone app will show no sign of rain, yet it will rain. Or just the opposite, it will say there is a 70% chance of rain, and it won't even sprinkle. That is the one you say is the best?
I love The Weather Channel app. The problem is, when I’m listening to a UA-cam video in the background and I open the weather app, it lowers the volume way down. So I’m looking for another weather app
Regarding your UA-cam stream on Thursdays I was wondering I’ve seen other podcasts where before the event goes live. It will show in my feed that it’s going to be live soon and there’s even a button to notify me when it’s live and I was wondering if you can add that functionality which would be great so when I’m looking through UA-cam, I see on the top that, your live stream is starting soon. Thanks and Love the show
Used Dark Sky since it first came out. Loved it, and was sad at first when I heard that Apple purchased it. At that time Apple's Weather app was weak. Live in the Portland/Vancouver (the first one) Metro area and the Dark Sky feature that would provide at my current location when it was possibly going to start raining, and stop raining was great. It took some time for this feature to come into the Apple Weather app. At last I would say it is to the usable point, and hopefully will only get better. Apple Weather just added wind monitoring which living very near the Columbia River Gorge is a great feature.
The reason I am here is because I was looking for an alternative to apple weather since it is so horribly inaccurate. And here you are putting it on your top 5. Your credibility has gone down to zero for me. Goodbye.
All of these are going to vary by accuracy by location - where I live, Apple Weather is fine. I can only vouch for the features, so that's all I compare.
Definitely love Weather Underground and Windy. Another one to consider is Storm Radar, owned by the Weather Channel, who also own Weather Underground. If you live in an area of the US that has frequent storms that you need to monitor, this is a must have. I live in NE Ohio, and volatile weather is the mainstay. One of the few apps that I actually pay a prescription for, I find it that valuable. I does great radar modeling present and future so you can plan your activities. Highly recommended.
Strange how you simply didn't mention that evil Apple corp bought the best most accurate weather app ever made Dark Sky only so they could kill it off, and barely integrate any of its features either.
TY but what about an App that provides ALERTS for severe weather (tornados etc. How much each premium feature is etc.) and please don’t say Red Cross as they didn’t know the difference between a WATCH & WARNING 🤪 and we’re highly inaccurate ! Thanks !
Stupid apple weather app. I didnt bring umbrella today. Right now heavy rain for 5hours. On the weather app right now is sunny. Omg stupid apple weather app
POW Westher app wayyy better than any phone app and not happy with apples weather app and deleted it. I’m in Emergency Management and have a degree and have not found any app that’s 100% unless you spend a lot of money. Most of these app developers now Lure you in then charge for premium and have nothing you need other than radar with no legend or maps that show satellite or even roads or most cities people need .

Totally agree!
I’m with you,as a matter a fact I was here waiting for him to tell me it was something better than apple weather cuz is very inaccurate

THANK You! Apple weather is extremely inaccurate hence why I’m here.
I just got 2” of snow and apple weather said there was 0% chance of snow. It’s out
yeah the app has improved but it is still horribly inaccurate. i use accuweather and it is very accurate. it's in the name lmao

Your experience will vary for all of these since different data sources are more or less accurate in different locations

Dark cloud is the best one nowadays, reminds me of Dark sky.
Loved Dark Sky, I'm a Mailman in London it was my go to

Apple weather predicted clear skies for yesterday, the day before and it rained two days in a row 😮
I don’t see cloud cover maps or radar on the Apple Weather app. Where is that located in the app?

I love the Apple Weather App that is Free with the phone. It has beautiful pages with easy to access information. It is detailed and supports Widgets.
Must have been really windy out to end up with that hair.
Is the wind blowing hard where you live?
