Well done on a lovely, respectful tribute. I remember standing in the wreckage of the remainder of the original Great Victoria Street station back in 1986 for the bus to Larne for the ferry to Scotland with not a railway or train in sight. The later Bus and Rail stations were a huge improvement to standing in a drafty ruin, but they were characterless, benign spaces throughout their near 30 year lifespan. No doubt they served their purpose but here's hoping that the replacement puts beauty before functionality.

Great video mate. It was great for all of us to be part of a massive moment of railway history I am really looking forward to seeing the new station when it opens.

A sad day in many ways.
I was lucky enough as a child in the 1960's to arrive into the old GVS on a special train from Dublin.
The station in those days was a sort of time capsule to my young mind, like a photograph brought to life.
