Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 😂 Awesome video Jason and kali hope you're both well my awesome friends . Really hope this movie does well it the box office .
& I can confirm to anyone this film was good. Not bad, not ok, not great but good! It's a 6-8/10 for me. Left the theaters wanting more in a good way btw. It's 1 of those movies that was good but could've been goated with the right tweaks.
I saw this opening night last Thursday with my parents after having watched the first one twice once with my mom last Monday before release and once with my dad the Thursday afternoon before seeing the sequel and hot take here, I may enjoy the sequel more than the original. Not to take anything away from the original as Michael Keaton is great in it with some great one-liner’s and that’s the one aspect of the original that might be better to me is all the memorable one-liner’s that Michael Keaton gave the character in the original. My favorite being “Well…uh…..I graduated from Juilliard, I lived through the black plague and I had a pretty fun time during that and I’ve seen the exorcist 167 times and it keeps getting funnier every time I see it!!!! and also, your talking to a dead guy, is that enough credentials for ya!!!!” I don’t know why that always makes me laugh so hysterically probably because growing up in a Christian household and therefore I consider The Exorcist one of if not the scariest movies I’ve ever seen and there he goes saying he basically considers the exorcist a comedy movie and I absolutely lose it because of the dichotomy between myself and him when it comes to the movie. 😂
Really enjoyed this one, even more than I expected to. I saw the original in theaters back in 1988 and I think Burton got right back on track, all these years later. There were a few negatives, as you mentioned it does feel like we're rushing through the multiple plotlines, and I also felt Ortega was ill at ease compared to the rest of the cast. Otherwise, I had a real gothic-lite blast with it. A definite 4K purchase.
Those are definitely some cool Beetlejuice signs for sure. I hope to check the sequel out some time soon. I've shared this with several people. If they were to make a third movie, it should be called, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice". That's what I think.
I also watched this to no end as a young child. I was running around quoting it at 5 and also enjoyed the cartoon as a kid. Now I've watched the original with my daughter many times now. We're pumped to go see this :)
My gf is dying to see this movie! She is a huge bettlejuice fan. I just finally watched the first one and she was cracking up and she has seen it like a hundred times lol. Great movie looking forward to seeing her smile watching the second one.
I’ve never seen the cartoon of Beetlejuice I have heard high praise for it that it’s just a fun animated series and since they are all on Tubi right now actually, I will probably check them out soon
I went to a mini marathon last Saturday and had a blast! Full audience, positive vibe in the air, perfect circumstances :) The original seen on a big screen made a big impression on me. I used to rate it 7 out of 10, and now it's easily a 9, it was so good! About the sequel, I liked it a lot. It was indeed overpacked with subplots and side characters that had so much potential, and the abrupt way fo resolving some of them was kind of frustrating. I enoyed it regardless. Cheers guys!
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 It's around the 100+M column rn. Burton said before the film was released he doesn't want to make a 3rd one due to his age but with the rate that this is going, he will probably change his mind lol.
Young'uns, I saw Beetlejuice with my daddy at the motion picture house when it was first released. I would've been ten years old. I remember he liked the movie, especially the famous "Day-O" scene. My dad's been dead for fifteen years. I think I'm going to dig him up and take him to the new movie with me. Seems like the proper thing to do. Liked your review, the decor, the hair, and the wedding photo. You're two swell kids. "Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder"
Maybe even start them today, since I’ve been in “Beetlejuice Fever” over the past week or so and since I haven’t been able to get out to the theater for a rewatch of the sequel like I really want to as of yet, then maybe it would be fun to go see the movie
Btw I just watched The Well 2023, gorey witchy Italian film with the last girl of Terrifier 2, I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts on it. Since you and Kali have my girlfriend and mine's gore brain, we feel you'd LOVE IT. I paid 7 dollars for it on itunes by accident, but came out of that feeling good because it was so solid.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 Absolutely don't sleep on it! It made us both cringe in disgust, we don't usually react to gore like that, I'm a huge gore hount carnage candy guy. Solid film, both trashy explotiontional terrifier gore with Italian Susperia weirdness
A Beetlejuice wedding sounds amazing. I wonder if we'll get Edward Scissorhands part 2. I thought Big Fish was directed by Terry Gilliam, but i was mistaken. I don't know when i switched them in my mind, but i only saw it once 20 years ago.
No Jeffery Jones? come on, we all make mistakes but seriously I hate most legacy sequels and I don't even like supporting them in theaters, but I love Beetlejuice and I'm going to break my own rules by seeing this one tomorrow. You guys should review the animated series, I remember loving it as a kid and this new movie did take some ideas from the cartoon from what I've heard.
BJ having a small head at the end of the original may be the reason he was given the job as manager of the call center made up of small heads. And it has been 30+ years so his head may have grown back to full size over that time. That's my take on it.
Those BeetleJuice signs are so awesome

Great part 2!! love the musical sequences!
"Are you INSANE?! We don't want that maniac runnin' around in here!"

Definitely the best Tim Burton movie since Sweeney Todd. Loved it.

It was a great sequel I hope they can squeeze out a third just for the name sake
If it makes sense, they should

I wouldn’t run to it
I can not wait!!

Jason has some big guns, like Nikki Sixx, it looks like Jason could kick some major ass, also this movie is so fun, I agree with you two.
Haha
I love ❤️ Beetlejuice 1 and 2🎃💋💚💜
Can't wait to watch it! 😂
I loved the movie and the series, would love reviews of the series!

I’m 42 and never seen the original. Could never watch it as a kid and never got around to it. Love horror aa an adult though.

Yes! Just enjoy yourself!
It was good. I felt at times it sort of was a hard PG-13, which is good.
Being Burton's girlfriend, Monica Bellucci had to be in the movie.
Didn’t hurt the film

He paid a 14 year old boy to pose nude for pictures for 8 months. That’s more than a whoopsie

The animated show I mean
Do they at least address why Adam and Barbara aren't in the movie ?
Yes

I definitely found him working with shrunken heads as a nod to that ending
