When the combined efforts of a recovering schizophrenic engineer suffering a breakup nearing his 50s and a currently suffering schizophrenic EarthGov Sergeant struggling from the loss of his wife and son destroy the "ultimate lifeform" that is literally the size of a moon.

Not apart of this chapter but still good quote
Gotta be in my top 10 for most underrated games of all time.
*Gods speed Visceral... “you made us whole”.*
This was Rules of Nature before MGR:R was a thing
(Also, the two games came out in 2013)
5:56 But Earth....gets a tomorrow.. *falls to death, but takes one final glance at Ellie's picture before tumbling down with the moon and the machine*
Earth did NOT get a tomorrow
oh it did, the moons got there sure, but Ellie beat them there, and likely warned them before going off to get planet crackers. Remember that the DLC is done in Isaac and Carver's perspective, rather then Ellie's, so while the moons may be at Earth, there's a good chance they only got there moments before Isaac and Carver did, and are just screwing with their heads to make them think everything's screwed. Remember that the Moons straight up hate Isaac in particular, and and will want him to watch. From what I can tell, due to what Isaac's done to them, they seem to have gotten fixated on Isaac and Carver. Ellie, meanwhile, is just cooking in the background...we just never got to see the results since we didn't get a 4th game due to how 3 was received.
Point is, the people of Earth are likely fighting back(minus the unitologists) so unless the moons decide that crashing themselves into the planet is the way to wipe out the people on the planet(which given their sadistic tendencies, I doubt they'd want it over that quickly), there is likely still time for Isaac and Carver to get moving and get to a planet cracker. Either way, we tragically aren't likely to see the end of the story due to Real Life reasons.
2:26 to 3:20 was the best part, so epic.
People can shit on DS3 all they want, but 3 was epic as hell.

Stasis blast
2:58-3:18 sounds heroic.
Replaying this game, I noticed that bit is a recurring leitmotif that plays in moments where Isaac feels genuine hope (when first hearing about Ellie at the beginning, when Santos says she knows how to track “the machine,” and in this moment where Isaac sees the codex within reach)
It’s Isaac’s theme, overwhelming the corruption of the marker. His hope is stronger than its signal
2:58 when you realize that isaac is a hero, reincarnated as a normal human. Defending the earth and the last love he has.
This sounds in my head whenever final exams draw closer. And by the way, I am studying engineering, so yeah.
+Eduardo Rivera All the feels.
Good luck with the studying and I feel the same about tests I hear this song as it comes close everyday
Statistics and probability 2, crash course, more like WE ARE GONNA CRASH D: TOO MUCH FORMULAS!!!!!!
+Eduardo Rivera Computer science is pretty rough too.
Computers actually have 3 known states: On, Off, And whatever(when there is no logical reason a piece of code just will not work a specific way.)
Eduardo Rivera yeah right
Even if it was not what people expected out of Dead Space 3. It was still an amazingly fun game. They did the best they could with what they were given, and to this day I still have not come across another game like this. You did you best, Visceral.

dead space is the best game
Yes
First One is brilliant
@@kirillassasin First one is brilliant, second one is memorable, third one is epic

I gotta say, the first and second games seemed more scary but this ones like a fucking action movie... I loved it... I hope they make another one...

I think it's an alright transition. Isaac, a naive engineer confronts some of the worst horror imaginable, to where he's just confronting them with the knowledge of stopping them.
:(
Sadly not gonna happen but if ya learned what Visceral wanted to make this game originally then well you’d realized EA fucked then over with the interference from higher ups and the PR department.
I honestly wished Visceral got to make there own game but nope EA had to step in and ruin it.
@@hawksinpes6317 the "original" idea for 3 sounded rubbish, which is probs why it wasn't used. If you think about it, anyone with half a brain could have worked d the shadow issac plot out very quickly. Wasn't a good idea at all.
I was so sad about the ending on this game. The Music. The Feelings. Damn. So Real!!!! Isaac Clarke was a true hero!!!! 9 years have passed and still there is no dead space 4. So Sad. This game with all parts really was very interesting with real feelings!

4:50 such a dreading and downright evil feeling I love it
The part that starts at 6:12 makes me cry. It sounds so beautiful :).
the fact that isaac sacrificed everything, even down to his life just for the hope that earth can survive makes him my favorite videogame mc. He died like a true hero.
an epic final boss fight :')
Most badass moment of Dead Space so far. Nothing says 'fuck your Final Solution' like shooting a moon to death.
3:33 The very true definition of ''Oh shit...''
''There's no way they will make a bigger boss fight than any from the last few games...''
2:35: ''Oh...''
Regardless of my feelings about what the game eventually turned out to be, the final fight against the Blood Moon was *beautiful.*
The atmosphere, soundtrack, graphic and overall fight were stellar.
loved all of it. the little race part where you're trying to go as fast as you can to get to the machine before the moon got it, the epic moments where you're soaring through the air, in a hurry to beat the moon at reaching it, and the very last moment where you finally ended it, where all you have left is a single picture of the only thing Isaac could care about, yet he decides to just let her go...
Still playing all the games love the soundtrack so much also really excited for dead space remake
2:30 is my favorite part

I was kinda disappointed with the final boss. I mean, c'mon, a moon? And the phrase "brother moons are awake"? Yeah, how about in DS4 we just fight an entire solar system?
+jokuihmehyyppa What, you have a problem with fighting a Death Star made entirely out of zombies on foot?
+LieutenantAlaki I think it was a rather stupid final boss. And if it's true that the other thingies are "moons" as well, it's even more lame. Why "moons" when we could have some horrifying smaller creatures instead? You know, something that won't require a spaceship or something to stop (coz all the other "moons" certainly won't be stopped one by one repeating the same steps you take to destroy the one in DS3 especialky if those things can work together). Idk, I was hoping for something like a twisted alien species using markers to destroy all competition. Something cool like, idk, predator? I just wish the moons turn out to be something more than the final boss in DS3 was.
+jokuihmehyyppa So, instead of a giant zombie Death Star, you want normal enemies as the final boss. This confuses me.
Seriously, just putting the markers in the hands of some nebulous evil race that randomly wants to destroy everyone is ridiculously overdone and, in my eyes, extremely boring, not to mention it goes against the whole "no more aliens" thing the series has been using. A fleet of moon-sized zombie gestalts made out of the corpses of entire civilizations seems significantly more threatening to me, both in scale and symbolism.
LieutenantAlaki
It might seem more threatening but considering the fact that the game started out with just Isaac blasting away with his plasma cutter, an army of moons simply is something I wouldn't have added to the game, ever. Yes, I'd much rather have more normal enemies (can a kickass dangerous alien species even be considered as normal, tho? I do want them to be much more dangerous than the basic necromorphs, after all) as the real threat than these stupid moons. Like I said, if they can work together, you'll end up requiring a space ship or something to destroy them all (unless there's a lae overdone "killswitch" somewhere...) and that'd seriously ruin the game for me. I already think DS3 was nowhere near as awesome as 2, let alone 1, as it was more like any other action game and less about exploring a potentially dangerous place and getting paranoid every time you saw a vent or something as you never knew if you were to be attacked. In 3 seeing a vent or any other hole where something might crawl out of was a pretty damn guaranteed place to get attacked all the time so there were no real surprises left. I'm not sure if I'd even bother pre ordering DS4 anymore since it's just turning into a shooter with moons.
Well, the series was already pretty much just an action series with a couple of horror overtones tossed in, so honestly I think the change in focus was for the better. And I really don't see how a Death Star made of zombies is less threatening than just another alien race that what hates us even though there aren't supposed to even BE any live aliens anymore because the Necromorphs already ate 'em all.
