There were games earlier than Spider-Man (2000) where you can crawl on walls. The very 1st Spider-Man video game was on Atari, the main mission of the game was to wall crawl on top of the Empire State Building and then defeat the Green Goblin.
Has anyone noticed how much better crawling on corners of buildings in Web of Shadows is better than the others? Missed opportunity to show it in this video.
Fun fact: Spidermans fingertips and his entire body is filled with hairs similar to spiders trichobothria hairs. But these hairs are microscopically small but fine and tough. They're more like barbs on a fish hook tho but they emerge at Peter's will and he can basically hook himself onto any surface or object he chooses. Even his suit is specially modified for this since it wouldn't make sense If he could just wear gloves and still stick on walls
