But I can understand, especially on the EN side. Exusiai only has one skin, in EN, while other servers have the KFC one as well as other unique skins (like Planter Amiya).
By not getting the new Exusiai skin, there would have been something like 4 or 5 skins we would never have been able to get, which can be frustrating for EN players, thinking they are not as liked by HG than CN or JP

Honestly I don't really care about Exu's skin since I liker her old one but depending what the price for the pack is I might consider it, considering there is a lot of other good stuff in there.

If I had Exusiai I would really hope for buying the skin for op (because I’m f2p and I never bought anything from micro transactions) but because I’m f2p I don’t have Exusiai so I just hope for you guys to be treated better ❤

Given enough Top Operator, she'll come to you, too. I've had top operator and sniper three times, that's either her or Schwarz.

I think those are the same people who refuse to use male operators in the game for some reason.

@@techpriestalex8730 it's related to his lores, since he wants to keep it low-key, his outfits are simple. But there's fine details on his accessories, tattoos and his clothes related to his lores. Personally i think it's fun to find those little things on his outfits, kind of what I do with every operators.

Purestream was an Premium Event Limited Operator at the time, Where the only way you could get her is for you to buy a 0.99$ pack from a Collaboration WWF you would get her, but after i believe on the 1.5 year anniversary (Maybe wrong) she was added in the recruitment, Making her obtainable to F2P players.

It’s an optional cosmetic item man. Skin doesn’t give any advantage for the player. If you really need it then try your best saving money for it.

The fact is that en livestream IS official announcement and we were hoping for that to tell us, since they covered the rest of packs and souvenirs, we could image that it was like the KFC collabo bullshit that was region locked

For anyone who's unfamiliar with CN server yet interested, long stream with major upcoming content announcements only appear during the CN anniversary which is half year from now. Global anniversary coincide with the Chinese new year event. So what you get is actually just a quick wrap up and a new event teaser. The good stuff comes when the even trailer PV comes.
And as Kukki mentioned in the video, there are skin and content that only appear once and gone forever, KFC skins and collab with Rainbow 6 for example. It's the same situations here: HG does own the IP of Arknights but the anime is not made all by themselves, how to make and split the profit made from anything related to Arknights anime is to be negotiated with multiple parties and organizations. Interpret it as HG lowering the bar here is kind of a stretch.

Having an experience with the other yostar published gacha game, a skin being tied to an anime blu-ray pre-order for JP wasn't anything new, and is usually par for the course. At least a refund option was given.

for me, the skin will probably be an instant buy, since i love exia and woukld buy it just for her alone. other games i play have mostly paid skins, so i don't really mind an exclusively paid skin in arknights either. just wish exia hadn't gotten one twice...rip kfc skin

Considering that this the first skin that I know of in Arknights Global that is locked behind a pay wall that is not purchasable with Originite Primes and it didn't help with the confusion of the JP livestream not elaborating on this properly which caused people to FOMO on the Blu-ray pack since they thought it was an exclusive skin not sold separately in an in-game pack (teased in the CN livestream later on).
Personally, not a fan of Hypergryph padding the price of the purchasable pack with useless items like the furniture set but it is what is. I would still buy it if it was less than or equal to $30 USD but any more than that, then I will gravitate on a 50-50 decision.

Are we at a slippery slope? One of the reasons I love Arknights is because getting operator skins were all on playing the game to get OPs to pay for them. If they needed a way for people to buy more, they need a better plan. Hopefully this won't be a norm. I'm already going to throw money for my official SilverAsh merch. Throw more husbando merch and I'll buy.
If the pack is too expensive this is a pass for me since I also have the other skin of Exusiai as well, but if I can afford it then I will buy the pack.

Glad we're all getting the skin, although I'm not super confortable with it being gated behind a paywall (Arknights has always left ways for F2P to get access to everything as well after all (except for a few icons, but I mean... These are minor things compared to skins).
Maybe they will do something similar to Purestream, where she was first sold as a pack, and later on added in the recruitment pool...? They did say they would add previously time-limited skins to the CC store so that could be an option later down the line.)
As for Chong Yue... I am super excited about us finally getting a male limited operator, especially since he looks great. I hope his in-game performance will be on par with his design!
I mean I understand there are people playing only for the waifus but come on... (there's still Lin on the banner though so it's not like they won't have something to aim for?)
