Judy. Do you use different glue when collaring fabric? Does the fabric have to be a thin cotton / blend or could you use a heavier texture?

I use heavy body gel medium. You could use a heavier texture but you have to be careful it doesn't stand out too much - it's more difficult to integrate into the painting.
