From what I played of this mod I find the cartels is one of the best because of their Mexico formable which gives ~3mill manpower from all the cores and instant war goals on everyone around you to make that Mexico. It is a little difficult to play and playing against players instead of AI is a different story altogether. There are probably better states/provinces to play as but I haven't played every one so I wouldn't know.
starting out in the mexico city faction is great because it gives the mexico formable or you can recreate the aztec empire

@@richbandicoot its the same for the cartels if you stay facist but you can also get a high manpower law for basically no debuffs as long you dont remove it the whole game. If you dont care about that it comes down to what focus tree you like more
3:58 as someone who has lived in that area to describe it as simply as possible, Cold, flat, windy, A lot of fields and beautiful sunsets although that is just my experience in North Dakota it might be different in places like Colorado
Colorado has the Rockies cutting it in half so yeah, it’s pretty different. Still cold and windy, but higher altitude and the Denver area is more developed than North Dakota

Please improve the new England area. I downloaded it to try a Maine game (absolutely love the L.L. Bean cameo) but I found it boring because you can do nothing unless you go fascist due to world tension never getting too large. Mass is also pretty boring because the other new england states never put up a fight. Also your flag doesn't change when you become new england.
Some suggestions: add a way for Maine to become ruled by L.L. Bean that'd be amazing.
Next make the other new England states democratic and rework the Massachusetts branch so that if they go fascists and invade their neighboring states through the focus tree they become the New England Union while the other states get an Event called the "2nd Hartford Convention" which unites them into the Republic of New England which is democratic. This Republic has the capitol in Hartford and receives support from New York via voulenteers and or lend leases. If they win they join New York's faction.
Also for Maine switch the fascist leader to Owen Brewster. He was a member of the KKK who was also a governor of Maine.
Another suggestion is to add a new focus tree branch once new england is formed which has two sides, the "Keep New England English" side which goes on to grant you cores in New York as well as institutes policies that attack Irish and French populations and also leads to you supporting Ontario in the Ontario-Quebec war. Then there's the "L'union fait la force" path which grants civil rights for non anglophones, gives you cores in the maritime provinces (this focus can be called abolsihing the webster-ashburn treaty which ended the Maine-Canadian border dispute which divided the Acadian region of the st John river valley), and sees you supporting Quebec in the Ontario-Quebec war.

I live in western Nebraska, really just small towns and farmland around here. Weather is windy and it tends to be a sort of long summer and winter in terms of temperature. It's enjoyable though if you're not much of a city person and I know a few people that moved here from California at some point.

I’m from Kansas so I can share what it’s like in the central USA, we have to do a lot of traveling to find amenities in the midwest (I commonly drive hundreds of miles per week). Towns are small and have miles of plains between each other. The young are running away through college while the poor stay in little meth/opioid towns for the rest of their life. All the small towns have empty buildings on their main streets and an aging population. I’ll probably end up leaving Kansas for a city like Tulsa or Kansas City, Mo.
Okie here, from my experience Tulsa is a decent area to live, but instead of living in city I recommend living nearby in the country side. It can be very peaceful, and where I live you only have to drive 20 minutes to get to Tulsa Hills (An area in Tulsa where there a lot of shops and restaurants)

Tommy, you wondered about the northern western area around Wyoming and Montana. That area is probably one of the most beautiful regions in the country and there's several national parks including Yellowstone located in that area. That said... there's nothing in Nebraska but farmland.
