I agree with Abreu, this was definitely a 9/10 episode. It's great when Andrew is on the show. He's one of the few guests that's able to match the energy that Shaan and Sam bring to the podcast as well as has the ability to explain ideas and concepts in understandable way.
I like the way you break down how someone can figure out how the businesses can be run better. Entering an industry seems so hard to me but these guys make it look easy and get access to money with little effort. It's inspiring. I know it won't always work out but it seems like a solid process once you figure it out.
Bradley at 23 had something most don't and those were connections. There's no scenario you're starting an oil brokerage at the height of the world gas crisis, let alone brokering nearly $5b in transactions, at 23, 24, 25 years old. Not without some very serious connections. From there it's a bit more reasonable that he would go worldwide with another company and do something bigger than brokering (surprised he wasn't precluded from entering the market as a competitor as terms of his previous acquisition!) which is buying oil at wholesale, shipping, then selling/brokering for the spread. It's smart as fuck. There's no getting around that. He capitalized at the right time. I simply want to know where a 23 year old got connections like this because this is most certainly not a repeatable strategy for just anyone. You don't mix with world oil suppliers at 23. Chances are if it was a family connection, it was a university connection, but either way, it'd be cool to see how that played out.
@MyFirstMillion You just gave the most gangsta group/cohort intro ever - there's a kind of "agency mafia" rising cohort thing going on ("Paypal mafia" for former agency owners?) here that I really love.

The guys spends 90mins talking with Warren Buffett and you spend 90 seconds discussing it? :0
Fr!! :’ You could tell Andrew wanted to talk more about it too and then got cut off 🪦
I like these episodes with Andrew makes me feel that successful entrepreneurs are normal people.
Yep, all the most successful people are under the radar (with businesses in boring industries) to avoid attracting haters and the IRS/HMRC. 🙃

The mic is grossly dirty
Why is he totally cutting off his guest?
Shaan is not how I expected him to look WTF
Ope hello
Sometimes he sounds like Sam Harris
He's actually Sam Harris' mother. Not a lot of people seem to know.
I’m amazed at how many billionaires are terrified of the politically correct herd🤷🏻♂️
