Transmission oil change - Yamaha Nmax

- Hi guys, in this video i show you how to change the transmission oil on the Yamaha Nmax. This oil should be changed after the first 1000 kms, and then every other 12000 kms. You can either use motor oil 10w-30 or higher or Gear oil 85w-GL3. I'm using Castrol 10w-40. I hope this video helps, Enjoy!!

Hi, Bro, like your videos, helps a lot. About the oil, in my understanding, the "higher" in the manual means higher than "SE", such as "SN". The number "30" "40" represents the thickness of oil , not the grade. So that means according to the manual, 10w30 SL is ok, 10w40 SN is not ok. Anyway, despite what the manual reccomends, I don't think use the same bottle of oil in both the engine and the transmission will cause real damage.

Thanks. I understand when you said use 0.15L of gear oil. But can I ask about the "fill level". Is the "fill level" at the lower edge of the final transmission filer hole (filler cap)?
Oh i see so i can put engine oil into the gear also. Amazing. I thought both engine and gear oil is different oils.

i order MOTUL GEAR 300 75w-90, gear oil i think its the best possible oil for the nmax 150 transmission.

cualquier cosa que sea 10w-40 funciona bien para esta bicicleta :) eso es lo que dice en el manual

Sorry ... it would be the Scooter GIVI bag ... there is a kit to make a derivation of the Nmax brake led, but I do not know which wires would be connected to the extra led bar that goes in the saddlebag

Thank you so much sir for answering my question, I just recently change the engine oil for my nmax 8000kms, I didnt know that I should change the transmission oil in the 1st 1000kms, so I just did just today.
How about the air filter, oil filter, and spark plug? How often you check and change those things? Ive been in Yamaha a while ago, then they said that the air filter will be check in my 12,000kms. Thank you sir!!

hola, encantado de saludarte y darte un pequeño consejo por que creo que segun el manual y lo que tu explicas en el video no es lo mismo, el aceite tiene que ser 10w30 API SE o superior, se refiere al API tiene ques ser SJ o SN a eso se refiere, no que sea aceite de motor superior a un 10w30 en este caso añaes 10w40 y no es correcto, debe ser 10w30 con API SE , o SNo SJ, en eso se recfiere a superior, o por lo menos yo lo entiendo asi, estaria bien me corrijas si me equivoco, y si siempre añades ese aceite y no te pasa nada, me gustaria comentaras cuantos kilometros tiene ya tu nmax y que aceite de motor usas,

@@upnmax7091 hola, como no , encantado de ayudarte y ayudar a otros propietarios de nmax, la mia es de junio del 2017, creo que sera el mismo modelo que el tuyo, yo no dispongo de la calidad de imagen que tu tienes , pero lo intentaria, el proximo fin de semana tengo pensado cambiar, aceite, aceite de transmision, liquido de frenos, bujia, anticongelante, limpieza del foltro de aire y el de la admision de la correa de transmision, espero me de tiempo a todo, tus videos me estan ayudando mucho,una pena que nos encontremos a miles de kilometros, estaria bien darnos una vuelta juntos e intercambiar experiencias, jeje,

Eu utilizo 11 ATF Fluído Honda para câmbio automático Civic com troca para 40 mil km , porem a nmax não tem filtro então e preciso trocar a cada 12 mil KM
