      All Things Adrienne 1-Mami always told me to love someone who loves you more, 2-let them show you they love you, not just tell you they love you. 3-Observe how they treat other women in their life ie. Mom/sisters 😘

      Best advice from my mother when I first started dating and about posting pictures on Instagram... your relationship is between the two of you don't let outsiders project their opinions on something they're not involved in, share some of your happiness but don't forget to focus on each other not the "people" trying to tear you apart with their negativity🙏🏽✌🏽❤

    My first boyfriend and I started dating when we were both 13 years old. We dated for 8 years. Then we got married young at the age of 21. We had our first child age 23. We both graduated from college. We have four beautiful babies and we became homeowners. We've been married for about 9 years and still going strong. 😉❤😁

      Iqra Axmed I could give so many but a big one is: Don’t settle! Is not worth it. At first you might feel happy because it’s just a new relationship but a few years into the marriage and you’ll regret it.

    • @beigelover95
      @beigelover95 5 років тому +11

      90's Nostalgia I literally left someone a month ago because he stopped making any effort (we were together for 5 months but it was my first proper relationship) with me and I confronted him about his inconsistency but he wouldnt change n i realised I deserved so much better so I left (hurt extremely badly but I still did it) n blocked him off everything. he texted me on monday begging for a second chance but I blocked him again. I really pray I get the kind of consistency in a man I want and deserve

    • @tianamiller6820
      @tianamiller6820 5 років тому +12

      Nope. They're both equally important. I don't see the point in being in a romantic relationship with someone in not even physically attracted to. I have had romantic encounters with guys who's personality I like but I know if I were to marry them and be intimate with them it wouldn't feel right lol. And looking back I definitely know I settled.

    • @barbarahenderson4736

      Yes, but people of the world stuck on looks. Been that way since Biblical times. Either way God got to be in everything we do.

    • @Itsgabybaby
      @Itsgabybaby 5 років тому +1

      Tianna Miller I always say this . You have to be physically attractive and mentally . If you like their personality that’s important but also how they look you have to also like it . But everyone has different taste just making sure you feel that connection overall .

    I'm a young mom of 4, one being a teenager. Sometimes, it's easy to get sucked into life's routine, work, home, school, homework, cooking, cleaning, etc. Sometimes by the end of the night, my husband and I look at each other for what seems like for the first time. There are challenges but we do love hard and we also take time to "cheat on the kids" where we take off when they're in school. It's important to make time for each other to unwind and get back to the basics before children. 😘 Love your channel.

    First let me say that you and Israel's performance on The Real last week was so good! I've been married over 20 years and we've had our ups and downs, but I believe that what brings everything back into perspective is the foundation we've built together. Marriage is work and the dynamic is constantly changing. My first real love was in college, and we even got engaged a few years after, but our life goals were on two totally different levels so that breakup was my first real big heartache.

I’m 19 and still single, and I have had two crushes, both which were never reciprocated. Painful, but it taught me to put myself first. I’m now focused on working in myself and loving myself, so that when the time comes, I’ll be loved the way I ought to be. Thanks for this video, I really needed this! 😍❤️❤️

    There are so many good nuggets that you have given. I have been thinking that I was ready for a relationship, but I realized that I am still learning and discovering myself. Adrienne you said something so important about how being in space where you are defining yourself and bringing someone into the relationship that is defining you as well, like that makes so much sense to go ahead and know who you are, learn, discover and define yourself.
    It is best to learn yourself, love you first, get to know yourself you know it's great. Though there is a desire and getting to know who you want in your life because getting to know guys is okay along the way, it is just so great to have that understanding.
    I also liked the fact that Adrienne you said that you love your husband for who he is. I am realizing how right now it is so easy to see potential and to fall in love with potential of man, especially one who is growing and discovering who he just like I am. I never want to fall in love with man's potential. I always want to fall in love with who a man is. I have discover and fall in love with who I am first though. It is all a process for sure. Writing notes, writing notes! lol

    Hi Adrienne, the best piece of advice I've received on love included all the amazing points you've covered in this video. I'm currently a student, I'm taking the time to focus on myself instead of bringing someone else in the equation at this time. Thanks again for the wonderful advice. May God continue blessing you and your family. 🙏😃👍

    Iv always been in love with the idea of love. I just personally never believed people who would say I’m in love with my best friend. But here I am today dating my high school sweetheart of 6 years and I am so blessed to have found him at such a young age. Before dating we had been friends for 2 years and I couldn’t imagine him and I would ever date but I’m so thankful we did.
    I wish everyone the best in their love life. There is someone out there for everyone truly. ❤️ remember love is patient

    I know this is a year old video Adrienne made but I admire and look up to her level of happiness. You can tell how in love she is and all the qualities she explained she looked in a man were exactly of mine. I've made a lot of quick decisions which basically left me break broken. But someone like Adrienne I have seen on television for years and it's good to see so much happiness come in her life and now she can sit and make a video about it. Teaching the rest of the single girls out there, your time will also come. Love you Adrienne!!

    Good Advice. I feel the same way about answers you gave. I only been married for 10 years. I had some male friends at 16 but we weren't dating. Though we liked each other. I didn't start dating until I was 18. I was learning in my teens and 20's. In my early 30's is really when I started to know what I wanted in a man. Also learned about love, dating, relationships.
    I enjoyed your video. Love your spirit, your so pretty, so sweet, so humble. I love your outfits. Your always looking so cute. Have a great day. God bless and keep you. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍👍💜💜💜💜💜💜👏👏👏👏👏👏☺☺☺☺☺☺

    Great video Adrienne ❤❤❤ I also wanted to share an experience that happened to me recently (since I never comment but I felt the need to because it's so important). So I dated this guy that I knew 3 years ago this year and I broke up with him. Because he wad broken. Because no one showed him what real love looks like. What respect looks like. What being grateful feels like. Him and I are completly different people but I went past my judgements but today I realize how thankful I am to have listened to my intuition. I had SEVERAL red flags about it but choose to ignore it because I had low self esteem & he was my first experience ever with a boy in my entire life. I will say that this gave me a wake up call, that just because I've been single for 21 years doesn't mean that I should jump on whoever gives attention to me. Patience is everything. Was I sad at first? Yes and no. More like confused. Especially when you recognized that verbal abuse is real even if it doesn't look like it from apparences, I was starting to become miserable. A controlling partner is the worse thing anyone could have. So today (after 3 months of breakup) I am still healing from all that stuff but I am in a much better place & I know that I deserve better & that person will come in God's timing. Never lose hope ladies, love yourself & the most important thing : GUARD YOUR HEART & SPIRIT. ❤❤❤❤

    OMG the farting!!! HAHA I love humor and kindness in a guy. Im 25 no where near to marrying and im so in love with myself and have such high standards that i havent ever felt the need to just settle for a blah and bad guy for me just because im lonely, i did that when i was 21 and my fear came true and was heartbroken again. Now i just love myself so much and im ok with just flirting and dating multiple guys within my boudanries because its going to take someone extremely special to really capture my attention! thanks adrienne

    I never liked the phrase, "They treat you with what you let them get away with..." because it seems to take responsibility from the abuser/toxic person.

    • @samara7510
      @samara7510 5 років тому +44

      Brownwoman ofGod we can't change a person so all we can do is control how we react. If you dont accept a certain behavior it let's the person know to change and if not you leave. If you put up with it anyway then you just sending the person the message that you'll stick around and they dont have to change. The responsibility is for each person to make that decision. Dont settle either way.

    • @sakinastranger5884

      Well you do have a responsibility to respect yourself at all times. Staying with someone who is abusive says a lot about how you see yourself and the worth and respect you give yourself. So that phrase is still very true.

    • @frenchvanilla7109

      Same. I don’t trust someone whose only boundaries or moral compass is led by something or someone else. If they don’t internally feel uncomfortable treating people poorly and displaying abusive behavior, Run! I don’t ever want to treat someone like crap, regardless of what they allow to happen.

    I had a virtual relationship yet it really affected me. I was jealous, he was possessive and there was no trust. At the time of today I do not know if I still love it. Even if we are more in touch, I sometimes think of him and imagine a continuation of our story. Yet I know he will not come back.
