To my knowledge, he is probably the world's strongest Vegan and all of his well known lifts were done while being Vegan. He breaks down what he eats, why the switch and more. I would say the world's strongest vegan is Patrik Baboumian. He has been Germany's Strongest Man in 2011 and nowadays you can see him compete in Strength Wars. He's holding a couple of world records like a 580kg Yoke for 10m distance and his deadlift max should be around 370x3 reps or something in that area atleast. He wants to be the first vegan to deadlift 400kg. Yes I'm a fanboy. And Clarence is still extraordinary strong. Great video!
What a lot of people don't understand is; being vegan does not necessarily mean being more healthy than a meat eater. Both worlds eat veggies and fruits, however there is more junk in vegan made products than in non vegan.
the more i look at it the more i realize how pleasant most powerlifters are compared to bodybuilders. dont get me wrong theres plenty of nice builders but people like shaw, hall, omar, clarence, etc are just plain kind and much more human. idk odd observation

Clarence is the ideal vegan. He isn't preachy and confrontational towards non-vegans. I didn't even know he was vegan until this video. Also, I have a peanut and soy allergy so I'm pretty sure it would be nearly impossible for me to go vegan.
@@halfbakedc00kie the protein source for most vegan products are from pea, peanut, or soy. I can't have any of those products. I'm sure it's possible, but it just wouldn't be worth my trouble
How much would you pay for a program that would give you knowledge about how to optimize your nutrition on a vegan diet? Something that would give you total confidence you were putting the right things into your body and something that would save you months of research.

This is the best video yet! It's also amazing to have someone like Clarence be Vegan, because he's such a good role model to idolise. Found this incredibly inspirational, and hope that there's more videos between these guys!!
I think PB has a slightly higher deadlift (350) and a similar bench. All his squats are a mile high so don't count. Obviously he wouldn't get near Clarence on the Olympic lifts but he would presumably be better at Farmers Walks and strongman stuff.
Clarence is more explosive and athletic, but I think Patrik would perform much better on brute strength exercises like the truck pull that Clarence struggled with.

I'm a 140 lbs female and eat around 2000 kal, still hit at least 100 g of protein per day on a vegan diet. It really ain't that hard guys. :)
