- It's no secret that Ciara has been at the forefront of the public eye as of late. The combination of motherhood, promise of abstinence to boyfriend Russell Wilson and her sixth studio album "Jackie" out now, Ciara has taken everything in stride and kept an amazingly positive attitude.
She stopped by the Sway in the Morning studios to speak on motherhood and how she now understands the way her mother raised her, being confident in her new music and how faith has kept her steady.
In between we also hear Ciara joke about twerking before it was called that, album sales and why it's more important to have steady sales instead of a first week blowout and truly feeling great with everything in her life.
When asked about her public relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and advice for dating in the spotlight she said, "Do what feels right to you. Don't over think it, don't calculate it, just be."

People are so negative for no reason. But regardless, Ciara is a super talented, smart, successful, focused, individual, woman, and artist. This album is a DOPE album, and she and her label is promoting the hell out of it. People choose to not see that though. Typically after a month or possible 2 after her album releases, there's no more promotion for her, but she's been promoting before and since the album. She's toured, did countless interviews, performed, released multiple music videos (on her 3rd one), on her 2nd official single, been on a TV show, etc.
I know and it's completely ridiculous. People need to get their own lives into perspective. Why hate on people you don't know?

WillySweet WonkaJoe I would say she's a great/exceptional dancer, but that's just me. She can definitely sing, but she's not a sanger, I can concur with that.
She's soo positive and humble, I absolutely adore Russell & think they compliment each other so well!! Before this year I never noticed that about her being that I wasn't a big Ciara fan/Stan but all the backlash has definitely made me take interest & become team Ciara. I don't really get why people hate her or call her degrading names when all she's ever done was date & try to find love.....like regular people. I must admit this album was pretty good, I mean come on even Sam Smith love it! Some urban fans just aren't into expanding their horizons which is why ALOT of great artist are underrated. Lastly, although some of her middle albums weren't personally my favorites, I really hate/don't understand it when people say "You're flopping. Stop making music. Just model girl." if she's following her dreams and doing it her way who are you to tell her she should stop chasing them just because YOU don't like it and you didn't follow your dreams? That is so dumb to me lmao
I love how humble she is. People like her need to be on top. I'm going to need to step her promo team up cause she's so talented and it's all being hidden due to her lack of exposure to the world.

I always thought she would be perfect for Victoria's Secret. She has the height and the body for it. Ciara can build a fashion empire. Look at Jessica Simpson and Victoria Beckham. They started off as singers before branching off into fashion. Ciara can do the same.

That may play a part in it, but I still think it should have gotten more promotion. First, the single was really weak. She should have released "Stuck on you" as a single or something catchy. I bet was one of the weakest songs on her album.
