The US celebrated with the Rinzler book no movie. the 30th anniversary. There won't be one for the 50th for the 1977 film George hates the movie. He will never allow it to be released again. Except in the current 2020 4K incarnation.
That's a strangely prominent application of the logo on some of the other Mexican releases then (not this one; I'm thinking VHS and Beta). Were they legally required to show that seal prominently on spines for VHS/Beta?
In Mexico it got released in December 25th of 1977 as far as i know just like here in Argentina, so no, it wasn't 1978, they got the "30° aniversario" wrong lol. My uncle's family has a version that comes without the metal box, it has different artwork for the trilogy package and came with the prequel trilogy in a different package, the logos on the sides of each movie are also brown instead of silver, plus, it has the second disc in each movie with all the extra material, i'm sure it's a newer version than this one, but still earlier than the Blu-Ray changes to the Saga (the movies themselves are like the 2006 versions) that's a much better release than this one.
I had one of those tins from Kmart here in Australia or maybe big w on DVD from 2007

Did the 2006 boxet in the tin. Were those disks individually wrapped
RTC is Mexico's movie rating system.

@@ChronoRadio was the 2006 tin box set from best buy. Were the disc's individually wrapped?
@@burgundy2el703 I honestly don’t remember, as mine that is open has been open since then. I have a sealed one but I’m not going to open it.
