I'm glad to see finn showing you love. i love his videos too. you're on your way to having this channel blow up.. keep it up and thanks for doing the suffokate vid i suggested awhile back 🤘🏻👍🏻
Your statement @ 27:15 about it being a huge deal for kids who loved both genres. I was a huge fan of Atreyu & Set Your Goals back in 2004 and was pumped with all the groundbreaking genre-blending developments back then. They played Warped tour the one year I was able to go and my friend really wanted to see the Acacia strain instead. Looking back I wish we chose ADTR.
Literally a month ago I revisited for those who have heart in years. Man, I barely could resist the tears lol That album and homesick were my middle school soundtrack. They were one of the bands that got me into screaming type music and they were the first band who made me save for months in order to buy the deluxe version of those two albums. Thx for the video, buddy, this hits home😢
I still remember being in middle school hearing "colder than my heart if you could imagine" on a friends MySpace profile and diving into them. Love that you did this one on the day of the remaster! Keep it up man!
i couldn't tell you how many nights me and my best friends would pack my roadmaster full and just drive around town listening to those who have heart at full blast and singing every song as loud as we possibly could.
It’s insane to think how far ADTR has come! From Halos for Heroes, Dirt for the Dead to full length albums, like Homesick, as well as sold out shows! This band is, definitely, one of my favorites and I respect their hustle 🤘
I’ll never forget hearing The Downfall Of Us All when I was in 6th grade and having my mind absolutely blown. This band is easily one of the most influential and most important bands we’ve ever had in the scene! 🔥
I just wanted to throw out my suggestions to do videos on: the acacia strain, Ligeia, killwhitneydead, trash talk, cold world, ceremony. Thank you for the content!
This band was my first step into getting into Metal music, alongside Demon Hunter and Chiodos. Fun fact: First song I learned on the drums was Swamped by Lacuna Coil followed by A Downfall To Us All by ADTR. Still listen to Homesick constantly as it brings back good memories of when life was fun as a teen. Miss those days when you've experienced bands blowing up in popularity when you were there to witness it. They even performed in my hometown of Bakersfield, California for the Free For All concert at the Brighthouse Ampitheatre in 2010 with bands like Hawthrone Heights, Need To Breathe, Neon Trees, and and Dan Black. Amazing performance as always.
My first cd was that for those who have heart reissue. I got it in sixth grade after seeing them live. I asked my grandma to get it for me for Christmas and she was concerned when she listened to it before giving it to me, she had no clue what music I was into before that.
seeing them in my hometown at a no stage venue in 2007 was the highlight of my junior year of high school. incredible band live no matter what venue they played.
ADTR is still my favorite band of all time. My sister downloaded For Those Who Havw a Heart and I first heard You Should’ve Killed Me When You Had The Chance on our family computer and I still jam to it. I remember drumming the intro at school, friends house, or wherever. It was so heavy and so catchy. Truly the band that got me into heavy music.
Loving your videos, legend. You’re hitting it outta the park. Think anyone watching your channel was all in the same boat growing up. We all still are ❤ Agreed. HOMESICK = one of the best albums out there. Keep it up.
Another friggen banger video as always brother 👊👊 Those who have heart is such a 🐐 album man I remember when I first heard that and homesick just blows everything away
This band will always have a special place to me heart. Their songs are so catchy et iconic ! For me it was the gateway to the whole "Core" genres. "Heartless", the version from the first album will always be my favorite 💘
Hello xTheYan ! Just wanted to say your page is amazing. Really cool how you dig deep for all the correct information. Great content and Documentary's. One request of mine, I would really enjoy, ( The Faceless ) documentary in the future !
I vaguely remember being told they use to travel hours outside their town and give away Demo CD’s outside of random malls near Hop Topic’s. (I’m a native Floridian)
Dude, this is the band for me. They stole my heart the minute I heard them. I first listened to And their name was treason, and the mix of screaming and singing threw me off initially. I totally came around to it quick though, and then Homesick came out. OH. MY. GOD. I was smitten, and obsessed with everything by ADTR. And being in highschool, I feel like they got me through so many tough times, even into my later years as an adult. It's a comfort band to me, and I still listen to them all the time. Every time they released an album, it became my most played and favorite thing of the year. When What separates me from you came out, I was blown away by how heavy it was! But they've also ALWAYS had a softer side that really spoke to me at my core. The only thing I couldn't get down with is their newest album, You're welcome. I feel like it is a complete miss, and this is the first time I was disappointed by ADTR. I gotta keep it real when it comes to this band, and that album is a flop. I mean, the song Rescue Me with Marshmello was AMAZING, a truly iconic mixing of styles. I was hoping to see more experimental stuff like that, but everything after that has just felt less... ADTR. I still love this band to death and want to see what they come out with in the future. Amazing video as always Yan!
another amazing video. you keep crushing content from the MySpace days. For those who have heart and and their name was treason are still two of my favorite albums to this day. got me through some tough times. Ligeia was a similar band that should've blown up like ADTR. Keep it up dude.
Been a fan since 2011. Hope you do a part 2 and another part 2 for the devil wears Prada because there one of my favorite bands. I’ll never get bored with watching history of bands 🔥💪
a little lore, one of their first tours was with my friends in orion and they're label mates on indianola records caldwell, when they came to vp south which is now Amityville music hall on long island i took them to the amityville horror house. they talk about it briefly on one of their records.
Saw them in an AP magazine way back in the day with a small ad that said “bands you may like check out heartless” Needless to say for those who have heart is still in my top 5 favorite records of all time
I literally looked up "adtr video essay" and found nothing(youtube sucks at recommending / finding stuff though lol). This is very cool, one of my favourite bands ever, my brother listened it to a lot when I was young
Are you from Montreal? I remember the show they had in 2011 with Bring Me, Jeremy came out in a hamster ball. I lost my ticket on Sherbrooke and found it an hour later after retracing my steps through downtown. Good times. 🖤
Personally For those who have heart is the first album of them i actually enjoy, their earlier stuff, excluding heartless and you should've killed me when you had the chance, which is what they rerecorded for FTWHH, i don't like that much. Can't wait for a new album considering how good Miracle is.
I saw them right after FTWHH came out in a little VFW log cabin in NJ. We had no idea they’d be huge one day. Next time I went to see them the show sold out and I couldn’t get in lmao. Then the 3rd time it also sold out but luckily got tickets from a friend who couldn’t go. I can’t get into anything after Homesick personally. I think they separated the 2 styles of music and made the soft songs too soft/radio friendly and the metalcore songs generic and boring. I like all genres girl pop/pop punk/hardcore/metalcore/deathcore/death metal but it has to sound right
It’s so strange that you’re making this video… I’ve been jamming FTWHH and HOMESICK on repeat the past 2 weeks!! 16 year old me can’t thank ADTR more for being everything at that age! Along with TDWP, Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack! Let’s not forget Parkway Drive, BMTH, AILD, and lastly Ø.. ITKYK!
"They distanced themselves from the screamo emo music they had to move onto a kind of pop punk hardcore kinda sound" it sounds like the exact opposite to me like they stopped doing pop punk and moved onto post hardcore aka screamo
I would not consider this band Death core just because they have breakdowns man. Let's here stuff from real death core Myspace era like as blood runs black, with blood comes cleansing, resist the thought, knights of the abyss ect ..these emo bands not death core but rather just gay..
I don't know if you actually watched the video because I never said A Day To Remember was "Deathcore" . My channel is also about Metalcore, that's why I did videos about bands like "Of Mice & Men" and "The Devil Wears Prada".
ADTR da 🐐 no 🧢
😤🤘🏻💜🔥
I'm glad to see finn showing you love. i love his videos too. you're on your way to having this channel blow up.. keep it up and thanks for doing the suffokate vid i suggested awhile back 🤘🏻👍🏻
yooooo a Finn reply! Hope your videos get SOOOO many more views!
Bro trying to talk young
Literally my favorite overall band of all time. WHERE ARE ALL YOUR PART 2S?!?!?!?!
Your statement @ 27:15 about it being a huge deal for kids who loved both genres. Sucks. Similar situation, except it I saw TDWP over OM&M with Austin right after the flood dropped 😢.
Literally a month ago I revisited for those who have heart in years. Man, I barely could resist the tears lol
That album and homesick were my middle school soundtrack.
They were one of the bands that got me into screaming type music and they were the first band who made me save for months in order to buy the deluxe version of those two albums.
Thx for the video, buddy, this hits home😢
I'm glad you enjoyed !! 🤘🏻💜
homesick is a must listen for anyone into metalcore. that album just slaps, all killer no filler.
I still remember being in middle school hearing "colder than my heart if you could imagine" on a friends MySpace profile and diving into them. Love that you did this one on the day of the remaster! Keep it up man!
🤘🏻🔥💜
Uses to live in ocala and jeremys dad drives a white truck with the adtr logo big af on the tailgate, hes like a local legend in his own right 😂
i couldn't tell you how many nights me and my best friends would pack my roadmaster full and just drive around town listening to those who have heart at full blast and singing every song as loud as we possibly could.
A trip down memory lane with ADTR. So awesome!
It’s insane to think how far ADTR has come! From Halos for Heroes, Dirt for the Dead to full length albums, like Homesick, as well as sold out shows! This band is, definitely, one of my favorites and I respect their hustle 🤘
Keep it’s going.. your breaking the matrix with an original idea, very rare these days. Stay channeled and keep that magick flowing
I love all of your videos! really brings me back. Keep doing your thing, man. Thank you for taking the time to make these!
I remember the early days smashing up downtown ocala to these guys. Ive seen them several times and will always love their music. Excellent video man!
I’ll never forget hearing The Downfall Of Us All when I was in 6th grade and having my mind absolutely blown. This band is easily one of the most influential and most important bands we’ve ever had in the scene! 🔥

Killwhitneydead bro! Wow good one!
@@churroinyomouf KWD is definitely the band I’ve seen the most times live out of any band. They were my favorite when I was a kid
this band sounds so kick ass live! I saw them couple months ago.
This was so good man! Incredible research on this. I haven’t missed a live show in Toronto since 2009, love this band so much lol
Thanks man ! 🤘🏻💜
I love ADTR it's one of my favorite bands thanks for making this channel
Bro ADTR rules! Definitely a vital part of my mold thats fosho. Cant wait for part 2 my man!

You Had me @ Hello is so good! I agree, I think it's their best slow song but they have other really good ones too.
Loving your videos, legend. You’re hitting it outta the park. Think anyone watching your channel was all in the same boat growing up. We all still are ❤
Agreed. HOMESICK = one of the best albums out there.
Keep it up.
Hey thank you !! Appreciate that 🤘🏻💜
Another friggen banger video as always brother 👊👊
Those who have heart is such a 🐐 album man I remember when I first heard that and homesick just blows everything away
i remember seeing the homesick album tour live! so amazing! i had people next to me holding in arms singing loud
This band will always have a special place to me heart. Their songs are so catchy et iconic ! For me it was the gateway to the whole "Core" genres. "Heartless", the version from the first album will always be my favorite 💘
That vulvodynia shirt is awesome bro!
Hello xTheYan !
Just wanted to say your page is amazing.
Really cool how you dig deep for all the correct information.
Great content and Documentary's.
One request of mine,
I would really enjoy,
( The Faceless ) documentary in the future !
Never got into this band but again glorious job brother I will always watch your content.
Easycore pioneers. I saw them so many times while they were touring FTWHH absolute wild times.
I vaguely remember being told they use to travel hours outside their town and give away Demo CD’s outside of random malls near Hop Topic’s. (I’m a native Floridian)
thats awesome

Most of their music goes off! One of the best bands to merge pop punk with heavier music, honestly.
another amazing video. you keep crushing content from the MySpace days. For those who have heart and and their name was treason are still two of my favorite albums to this day. got me through some tough times. Ligeia was a similar band that should've blown up like ADTR. Keep it up dude.

"I'm walking heeere"
Saw them in an AP magazine way back in the day with a small ad that said “bands you may like check out heartless”
Needless to say for those who have heart is still in my top 5 favorite records of all time
Please do an episode on Sky Eats Airplane. One of my favorite bands from that 00's era and truly ahead of their time!
A day to remember is a real cool band love them they are awesome and sick 😮😮😮 love there music 🎶 🎵
Underrated youtuber. 1 million subs within 3 years
Can't wait for Part 2!
ITD BREAK MY HEART IF WE FELL APART- ITD BE SO HARD TO LET YOU GO
I literally looked up "adtr video essay" and found nothing(youtube sucks at recommending / finding stuff though lol). This is very cool, one of my favourite bands ever, my brother listened it to a lot when I was young
So as usual, we are waiting for the second part
Thanks. You made me remind me about my teenage years.
Can you make video about Picture me broken?
agreed that You Had Me at Hello is the top acoustic jam. Reminds me of my childhood ex girlfriend from 2009 😂
Top channel \m/ 😎
Any chance you’ll make a video on the band Belie My Burial? Also a sick band from the Myspace era
An episode on August Burns Red? Would be fun.
lmao the pioneers of the tough guy running in place. my band did that too because of them. iconic band. making bipolar songs sound so natural
From Autumn to Ashes when?????? xD
Are you from Montreal? I remember the show they had in 2011 with Bring Me, Jeremy came out in a hamster ball. I lost my ticket on Sherbrooke and found it an hour later after retracing my steps through downtown. Good times. 🖤
I'm from a city close to montreal 🤘🏻🔥
When is part 2 coming?
ADTR 2003-2007 ❤
A shot in the dark was the first song I ever heard from ADTR.
Now we need ATTILA (Myspace era)
Is that a huge Chiodos logo on the right??
Halos for heroes reminds me of 80s melodic hardcore like Dag Nasty & Gorilla Biscuits
The Since You've Been Gone cover is so good, I prefer it significantly more than the original
same!
Alesana!!! Do a video for them please!!!!
This is random but I hope one day you cover Senses Fail
Personally For those who have heart is the first album of them i actually enjoy, their earlier stuff, excluding heartless and you should've killed me when you had the chance, which is what they rerecorded for FTWHH, i don't like that much.
Can't wait for a new album considering how good Miracle is.
You should do hanni khol next
How could you skip the fact that they got Ron Jeremy in a music video!?
Gengar in the pit!
You have cool content. I can give you an idea for a video. I would like to know about the Nochaa group
cant listen to ADTR without playing liferuiner right after 😂
I saw them right after FTWHH came out in a little VFW log cabin in NJ. We had no idea they’d be huge one day. Next time I went to see them the show sold out and I couldn’t get in lmao. Then the 3rd time it also sold out but luckily got tickets from a friend who couldn’t go.

Do atilla!
Hufflepuff!

Animosity myspace erra..

Anyone else remember "death metal baby"? 😂😂😂
