I used to scuff at the ES but over the years it earned my respect; a midsize sedan that still keeps up with current mid size sedans in quality 16 years later
My grandma had a 2012 ES350 which was the final year for this generation. She bought it new back then & we just sold it a few weeks back as she recently stopped driving (She's 91). I got to drive it for the first time since it was new for a couple of days & it feels just as solid as it did 12 years ago. It only had 64k miles & sold very quickly as expected. The build quality feels better than the 2013-Present ES's since this was the final gen to be manufactured in Japan as the ES is currently manufactured in Kentucky as of the 2013 model year. Interior quality is better as well.
Wow! didn't know they had radar cruise way back then I still own this year in maroon color still drives perfect @159k needed very little maintenance & catches more eyes & compliments than my newer '19 RX350
UR crazy man. I own a 08 ES and the difference between it and a same generation Camry is night and day. The shear quietness and quality of the interior is amazing. Not only that, u won’t find a Camry on the road that rides like the ES. I’ll gladly take my ES with its butter soft leather, quietness, and ride over any Camry.

Funny watching this my 07 has been nearly perfect besides basics parts replacement. Amazing reliability and still rides great. Great daily driver
How many miles? Is it a daily driver? 6cyl can drink gas I can imagine.
@@errolwashington5606 avg around 25-26 per gallon. Still drives super smooth
@@marcusbroom7828 that's refreshing to hear. I've been looking at a few.
@@marcusbroom7828that high? Do you drive mostly highway miles?
Premium or regular fuel?

Scotty Kilmer agrees

yes
Was this video made with a flip phone?
"Near luxury" is a stupid segment. It's just a midsize economy luxury car.
A Lexus LS or ES isn't "just" anything....
