I just can't see them like that. My heart aches. Both of them were struggling to keep up with each other. During late 2014 mostly by the end of the year, both of them behaved rather so weird. Like they were not actually sure of what they actually wanted. They acted as if they don't wanted to be engaged with each other but somehow they were connected. Like they wanted to be close to each other and failing in their attempts, their issues being the obstacle or they don't wanted to be involved with each other but again failing because their feelings were in the way. They actually couldn't decide but one thing was for sure, that somewhere they were totally connected to each other. Some force was pulling them towards each other every time. I think that is why, even after struggling this hard they couldn't leave each other's side. Like in here, I think something happened before this particular interview and to my belief I think most probably this was the time when Harry demanded a hiatus which he himself agreed in an interview later on. So basically, Harry was so devastated to see Zayn in such a state he couldn't control his emotions anymore and demanded a hiatus just before the interview happened but as we can see all their body languages and the way they all were staring at each other with different emotions, I feel most likely they had a fight about Harry's demand. Most likely because rest of the boys wanted to continue as a band. So if I'm right and if we compare Harry's body language in the interview it was clear that Harry was trying to shield Zayn. He felt an urge to protect him because he thought none of the boys in that moment were thinking good of Zayn and all he wanted was to help him. Like he wanted to convey him that he wanted to protect him from each and every obstacle even if that means to fight with the boys and management. Because at the moment he want Zayn to be happy and healthy. He looked devastated because he knew what was going on with Zayn. And he also knew Zayn won't share it with anybody. But he wanted him to. He was also scared to loose him and whatever they had as a fact that if the management and the boys won't agree to the hiatus, Zayn will leave him. And Zayn was totally done with everything. He wasn't able to cope with his anxiety and Ed. As much as Harry wanted to help him, Zayn too needed him but he didn't want him to ruin everything that he has just for him. And I guess that's why everything fall apart. I believe this fanfiction than all the other interpretations I've seen in the comments of this video before (since we don't know and we all assuming anyways lol). I always put this video on for a good laugh. I'm sure Harry's pretty drunk in this and trying not to act drunk in that way that just makes it obvious that you are in fact drunk. Like in here, I think something happened before this particular interview and to my belief I think most probably this was the time when Harry demanded a hiatus which he himself agreed in an interview later on. So basically, Harry was so devastated to see Zayn in such a state he couldn't control his emotions anymore and demanded a hiatus just before the interview happened but as we can see all their body languages and the way they all were staring at each other with different emotions, I feel most likely they had a fight about Harry's demand. Most likely because rest of the boys wanted to continue as a band. So if I'm right and if we compare Harry's body language in the interview it was clear that Harry was trying to shield Zayn. He felt an urge to protect him because he thought none of the boys in that moment were thinking good of Zayn and all he wanted was to help him. Like he wanted to convey him that he wanted to protect him from each and every obstacle even if that means to fight with the boys and management. Because at the moment he want Zayn to be happy and healthy. He looked devastated because he knew what was going on with Zayn. And he also knew Zayn won't share it with anybody. But he wanted him to. He was also scared to loose him and whatever they had as a fact that if the management and the boys won't agree to the hiatus, Zayn will leave him. And Zayn was totally done with everything. He wasn't able to cope with his anxiety and Ed. As much as Harry wanted to help him, Zayn too needed him but he didn't want him to ruin everything that he has just for him. And I guess that's why everything fall apart. Both of them clearly didn't wanted to be close here but their bodies were inclined towards each other like a force pulling them towards each other everytime they try to be away from each other. I believe this fanfiction than all the other interpretations I've seen in the comments of this video before (since we don't know and we all assuming anyways lol). I always put this video on for a good laugh. I'm sure Harry's pretty drunk in this and trying not to act drunk in that way that just makes it obvious that you are in fact drunk. But the way he leans in and announces Band Aide as his favourite Christmas song is just hilarious to me. Lol! Get you trying to be relevant to the discussion Mr. Harold Styles.
But yes. I've been watching most of the footage from the last leg of their WWAT recently and going by that and this and other moments apparently falling out and actively avoiding each other on stage didn't entirely affect their complete lack of personal space boundaries with one another. So maybe not as off each other as they liked to act apparently. They have such a weird dynamic at this point in time as far as I can tell. Not really engaging with one another in this but still somehow connected. I can't decide if they're trying to be close and failing at it because their issues keep getting in the way or trying not to be close and failing at it because their feelings keep getting in the way. lol. Another thing I noticed in this is that when Zayn initially says no to Louis' question about having anything to add Harry also said no too but then Zayn went on talking anyway so Harry started talking more.
