Corgan played all the bass parts on the album because Wretzky couldnt nail the takes. He also played the rhytm guitar as well. He has admitted that in many interviews. He was a perfectionist psycho back then
Every bass cover seems to play the first note an octave lower Eb on 4th string instead of the Eb on the 3rd string an octave higher like in the studio version
