************************************READ BEFORE YOU WRITE A COMMENT!!!!************************************
Firstly: I'm thankful for everybody who watched my video, and love everybody who take time to write a comment for me! I read every comment, and trying to answer for everybody! SO. That's why I want to make easier things for all of us, and clear some things and answer for the two typical comment what I've got mostly:
*If you wanna comment "These characters looks like Aphmau and Aaron/and or Apollo Justice!"*--- I know you don't want to hurt me, but you do. Didn't know about these characters until I had got PLENTY comments about them, then I checked them. I wrote every info in the description and you can find more about them in the links: They are Achi C. Five and Samuel Jackson my and Rebcebab's original characters. Sam is a company boss and a maffia leader, who's a big womanizer and playboy, has difficulties trusting in anyone and he has more problem caring or loving someone. Achi is a veteran soldier, who had several bad experience with men, and who became Sam's assistant and later his bodyguard right hand. As you can see, different personalities and have their own story. There are years of work creating their world and characteristics.. Writing this comment just make me think "I don't care what both of you worked in the last years, you just copied them from others." In this case, I can be a copy of Black Widow from the Marvel comics because I have red hair and white skin. Still wanna comment like this? Here is my answer: Thank you very much watching my video and have a nice day!
*If you wanna comment "It's a song about rape"*---- Huhhhhhh... I NEVER THOUGH anyone will react like this for this animation. Commenting this just make me think: "So I'm working on this animation since weeks for got this response." Before we comment about this serious topic, let's make our research!
Here is a link about the song's origin: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby,_It%27s_Cold_Outside
In short: The song was written in 1944 ( so 74 years ago. That was a WAY different culture and society from today. For example: You had sex with your fiancé before marriage? Shame on you, SHAAAAMMME) / The song's writer was a married man whom sang this song with his wife, so I don't think there were any rape though in his mind when he wrote it, and the purpose of the song was way different either / As an other culture and society, there were different idioms either, for example: "What's in this drink?" It had other meaning than you think, read the article if you are curious.
I'm a 27 years old woman, who has experience with creepy guys and stalkers either, so I know that this is an important thing. BUT before you judge something, please make your research about it, and please think about the differences. Flirting game and sexual harassment not the same thing, and this song isn't the same with rape culture. Still wanna comment like this? Here is my answer: Thank you very much watching my video and have a nice day!
That's all what I wanted to clear. I'm open for every discussion, love every comment, but I hate repeat myself plenty times.
Thank you very much reading this, watching my video, and I hope you will like my works in the future either!
ok? I got nothing to do with this all I want to say is love the animation and song I don't really care what songs are about as long as there nice catchy and in my range but animation and drawings are really good better then I can do
I only found this and I already ship them
Wait she has a big family and she becomes his bodyguard, wouldn’t that worry her family members if they knew he was the leader of the maffia especially if he’s attacked often?
If I had to throw my penny in this basket all I want to say is:
I don't care about the song it sounds good and katchy katchi ketchi??? And the characters look awesome I didn't know their names until now but seriously you're awesome and all I can say is keep up the good work and don't let bad comments keep you down(i'm gonna cry in two moths cos of the finals and i'm 18 soon to be 19 this year) that's all I have to say good luck in your future video and have an awesome day☺
Minecraft Assassin
Minecraft Assassin It's okay, and thank you very much :) I'm really glad how you thinking about this! Sorry for this warning post, just had plenty of these comments, and I didn't wanted to copy paste my answer for everybody. Now everybody can read my answer already, then deal with it if they still want to write in these topics :)
For those worried about the "What's in this drink?" line, back in the 1940s that was a euphemism meaning "Why am I acting like this?" in a sort of cheeky, bashful kind of way.
Yeah. Plus, in case she wanted to make/get it herself for later, she did not have the Internet to find out. Besides, date-rape drugs weren't really popular until DECADES LATER.
If you want to complain about songs that advocate rape, try looking for some bad rap that came out RECENTLY.
Oh guys come on can we not look at that one line, really it's just just a Christmas love song mk that all and it's fine how it is.
@@spider-sam8057 ikr,
Still is, far as I know.
Back then was nice
Okay to clear it up for the people confused about the song, they are both thinking of ways to let her stay at his, since it was frowned upon in society to stay at a mans/partner’s house if you were unmarried. This song was about fighting the social norms of that time period.
“Say whats in this drink?” It isn’t about drugging the drink, its a saying/phrase meaning ‘excuse my behaviour/blame it on the alcohol’. There is nothing creepy about this song. The original songwriter wrote it for his wife and preformed it with her! Truly a beautiful story of love!
Enjoy the song! ❤️
plot twist: No
@@TrapShops6969 I dont know why that annoys me xD
I 100% agree
Oh I had no idea. Thanks for writing that
I mean, it's a really nice song and all, but.... the amount of rapy vibes it's putting out in the beginning is frightening
that girl was blushing for almost 3 minutes straight i think she has a fever
Makes sense, it's cold outside
@@shylem1039 LOL
"What's in this drink" was a stock joke at the time this song was written, everyone can chill. Maybe just head outside
This song actually is NOT ABOUT RAPE. its set in a time when women were disowned and shamed for wanting to stay with a man they weren't married to. Basically the girl singing wants to spend the night with the man but she knows it'll seem scandalous and is nervous but she comes up with reasons she should stay
Woah I just learned something new, thank you!
Do...people...really...think...this...songs...about....rape?!
@ Chocolate kirbygamer Yepp, that's why I wrote a long pinned post and i already edited the description that these comments will be deleted :"D And there is still new comments about it...
@@MauAcheronwth why?! God my generation sucks
Even more to add to this. The original song was written by a married couple. The "what's in this drink" comment was a joke regarding putting a shot of alcohol in the drink so she wouldn't drive. But regardless, at the time of the song's original release, this was a harmless comment.
Have people never heard of cute flirting as you can hear her giggle and how she keeps saying no instead of leaving, there is no frightful or demanding tone she wants him to keep insisting because it's cute to her. Its romantic to play a cute little cat and mouse game from time to time. I think this song is cute yet romantic
This isn't the original version. You can audibly hear how much they tried to increase the flirting aspect of the song when compared to the original.
@@seandabest4329 for the original version: it was wrote as a sign for people to leave the party, also written by a husband and a wife, ALSO in the first movie where they used they made a scene where a lady sing to a man this. People see and hear only what they want, not usually the reality.
@@MauAcheron I've seen the original version. And with no context it looks like a man who genuinely wants to leave the woman's house is being kept inside against his will. People talk more about the other side however, because unlike when the woman is trying to convince the man, the other man is at times physically grabbing his wife who also appears as if she genuinely wants to leave the room but is being practically barricaded by the dude.
Is see and hear what is there, and what is there make me uncomfortable to watch. Which is why in literally every version of the song ever made AFTER that musical, they make the male singer sound more pleading and the female more flirtatious.
@@seandabest4329 And still there is the fact, that the song was written for parties at home. Without context the whole human communication would be messed up as hell (well, maybe that's explain many things nowadays). I don't see the reason why should people argue about a song which was written in an other age, however there is so many more agressive and rapist songs in our own time ^^
And mainly don't see the reason why they should argue about it under an animatic.
@@MauAcheron well we could always argue about it under an animation instead. Much more "high class" as the youth say.
And personally I disapprove of the banning of any forms of media be that a song, type of music, book, whatever. However it's important to understand that in every story the two sides have legitimate reasons for opposing one another. It's why Thanos is such a good villain and why I feel the need to tell people why a song I enjoy was banned.
Thank you for resisting the manufactured, fake controversy and sticking to the original lyrics. It's just a cute song about two people who really love each other and want to spend a few more minutes in each other's company on a romantic winter evening. That's it.
In a cultural climate where being seen as a loose woman is rather frowned upon (but also less frowned upon than it was in their parent's and grandparent's generations). That's also an important part of understanding what's going on in this song.
My girl is the type to do that. When she says she needs to go she wants her baby to make her stay a bit longer. Some girls enjoy being chased by their men that is a simple matter of fact.
@@jamesfoss1627 that wasn't the context but okay
@@kittypeanut4102 yes and no. The element of mixed signals, saying one thing but wanting another is an element of the song

I think we just took it as a fact that they both looked good and naturally didn't even mention it.
Summary of the song:
Girl: it’s the early 1900’s! If I stay people will totally talk about me behind my back!
Guy: who cares what they think? We love each other, it’s a freaking blizzard outside, let’s stay in and cuddle✨
Girl: fine, but I’m totally blaming the alcohol if anyone asks~♥️
I get your point, but it's actually mid 1900's. Just had to point that out, my inner nerd couldn't let it slide lol.
In either case, people should really invest a quarter of their time to atleast look at the date the song was created and research about how it was back then
Hello definitely not Aang
I never thought this song sounded "rapey". To me, it was about two lovers that were being coy and sexy with each other. Nothing more.
I really liked this and think it'd be awesome to see a full frame animation 😍😍
Frame by frame animation? Yeaaaaaaaah, that would be great :D Frame by frame animation for me always like "I wanna do it!" and then "But I don't have patience to draw it" xD
@@MauAcheron 😂😂
Tbh I have mixed feelings. It does sound rapey but it also sounds absolutely like smth me and my partner would do, and he's a sweetheart, never would've forced me to do smth. But if he sees that I actually wanna do smth but am too shy, he'll try to break the ice and show me it's okay, even if it comes off as weird XD
Remember a few years ago when people were freaking out about this song saying it was “rapey”? They all need to watch this animatic, I think it does a great job of showing how she’s just as into staying as he is having her stay. Not my favorite Christmas song, but the reactions people have had are way overblown.
They thought this was nonconsensual? People weren't too keen on sarcasm and playfulness before were they?
Especially since this very flirty song was written by a husband and wife together, like as a song to sing to house guests to entertain like, it really isn’t that deep
Its only "rapey" if you're single, and hate men.
Is nobody gonna talk about the female singer being Idina Menzel? You know, Elsa's voice actor? Pretty funny to see the guy trying to convince her to stay by saying "it's cold outside"
Ohh, don't worry, there is some dozen comments about it ^^ It's still funny, and I know there is an animatic by Emirichu who's exactly made an animatic with this song, but with Elsa!
Well, the guy has an exquisite voice
I didn't even realize it until I read the comments.

Baby it’s corona outside
Btw this is really fricken cute omg
lmaooooOoooo
They live in New York, so you ain’t kidding.
Diego Torres ha ha do you get it? Because corona
A notice to people saying the song is about rape the song was created 20+ years before roofies and it’s about a woman wanting to stay and be with her boyfriend but back than staying over ment you were being shameful or not being modest until marriage so like now you can blame the alcohol it’s a reference to being drunk and having sex which is a valid excuse people who say it’s about rape are those who never did research FYI the song was created by a husband and wife.
I really hate the fact this song is getting removed from radio stations...just shows that people will find a reason to cancel ANYTHING
Same and I love this song, it's very disappointing I won't be able to hear it as much this year
How much do you wanna bet that if the roles were reversed nobody would bat an eye?
Not that the song has any connotations of rape in the first place, people just don't know how to do a basic 2-minute research.
It's ridiculous
Like it's just a single google search to know the song's meaning is just a duet the song writer and his wife would sing at their houseparties
@@BassiKun99 true thoo
It's pretty sad how sensitive, offended and critical people have gotten now and cancelling is quite dimwitted now their just looking for excuses
I love how the man's lyrics alternate between flirty to "Okay but you could actually get sick or hurt and I don't want to be in fault for that please just stay inside."
Many people say this is a song about Rape but I personally just see this as two long couples just playing around with each other

Hehh, good one :D
Nice
I WHEEZED
that isnt funny... you gotta let it go
Oh no I'm here in August again
People read to much into the song. It was written by a grown man, to his also very grown wife, meant as a kinda flirty and nice song. No ill intent was ever meant with any of the lyrics. "What did you put in this drink?" isnt a line reffering to doping someone, its a joke said because she wanted to stay a little longer while drinking the drink she had been given, because she found the drink good, and company nice. Its a common thing to say yet about many things. "What did you put in this (blank)" is a way of saying things like it tastes good, as well as, well I might as well stay and finish this.
Not a singular line was ever creepy or rapey when you dont forcefully try to look at it through such a lense. All comments, sayings, lines and compliments in the song, is not weird at all, between two people who love each other and are flirting a little.
These people have never been in love in their whole lives and don't understand love by any means that's why they do this.
This song was written in 1944. The man wrote it for his wife and they first played it at the end of their holiday party as a sign for the guests to go home. So, if people think its about rape or sexually harassing a women, its not. Its a love song. The husband truly cared about his wife :)) and I think that's really sweet.
No offense but what kinda moron thinks it’s about rape?
@@type1exterminator471 Alot....and I mean this whole heartedly, alot of people think this songs about rape
@@type1exterminator471 I do think that but I see why people would think that because she’s kinda saying in the song she needs to go but he’s telling her to stay
@@junkoenoshima1002 its sad that genuinely wanting to be with the person you love convincing them to stay with you in your home and keep you company is taking to a sexual rape scene very sad indeed.
@@jacobsmith9649 yeah I agree I’m just saying why I do see that people would find this song rapey because it has little elements like that in the song
In simple, the original song was written by two famous broadway singers who were married. As entertainment for their guests they would sing this at parties, part of the joke being that it was all an ACT.
Also understand this was a different time, and among more civil company. The General story of the song could be seen as two young lovers staying the night together when a winter storm blows in, no ill or sexual intentions or actions. The lady worries about what people will think and her parent will worry, while the man is being a gentleman (oh my god they do exist!) and is insisting on having her stay for her own safety.
And the line about the drink, seriously have none of you ever had proper eggnog? You spike the eggnog! It wasn't "I'm going to get you drunk so you give dubious consent" more just friendly banter. Again the setting of this is at a party, not necessarily alone.
In short, get of your damn high horse and just enjoy a lovely song about a perfectly consenting couple!
oohhh
Thank you for pointing this out.

Context is everything, yes without context in our day someone might feel that this song is a man pressuring a woman to stay but thru this animation it's a teasing young love playing coy. I love it, the original song was written by a married couple so this video is great at giving context.
The song was written in the 1940s-1950s. The custom at the time, as it where, is that if you WHERE going to do something, or stay with someone in that way (and you wheren't married) You give little excuses and have 'alibis' for why you cant leave or why it was the "right thing" to "stay politely by with this young chap and definitely not do anything."
Saying outright "No" or "Im not interested" in this time would IMMEDIATELY end the song or conversation ... but thats not what they said. She gave small excuses and 'reasonings', that he rebuked. It quite seriously is just a playful song written in a very different context than our current one.
So yes. I fully agree. But also E.L. James can be a woman who writes a book about serious abuse and it gets romanticised. The context is more than just emotional.
Guy just used the word coy and made me search it up

Baby It's Cold Outside is not about rape it's an old song about spitting game back in the day if this was rape in the girls uncomfortable it would be way more violent with the girl like he takes off her hat and says stay if a girl doesn't say what the heck are you doing then that means it's okay that let me she wants you to make her say she's playing hard-to-get all she's doing is playing hard-to-get don't worry she just playing hard to get

I read somewhere that "say what's in this drink" is her trying to blame in on alcohol bc with the rest of the song it's already clear that she wants to stay too so it fits the situation, nothing creepy, you can listen to it with no worries :)
More likely it was a jab. There wasnt alcohol but she joked as if there was.

Me too😂
Yupp, happens :3
It's in the middle of July.
UA-cam: Perfect time to recommend to everybody!
and recommends it to people in places with no snow )_;
The song is from the film Neptune's Daughter, Starring Ricardo Montalban.
Typical film, girl meets boy...Boy likes girl and girl likes boy, but secretly!!!
This scene is set up beautifully because the girl does want to stay but she is challenging his conviction.
Boy decides to answer her challenge and persuade her
In the end, she is satisfied with his persistence
I personally dislike when people say this song is “creepy and about rape.”
I personally always saw this as playful flirting, probably between people who have known/dated for a while. (Original was sung by a husband and wife duo)
Also, the drink comment. I think it’s her teasing that he probably put booze in the drink, not a date rape drug (even more since most can’t be detected). And since it’s a common thing to think booze warms you up.
Also, he never says “no you can’t leave.” Or “You can’t go.”
It’s more of, again to me, playfully talking about how much better it would be to stay. Probably even playing up the storm outside.
My takeaway, don’t always put things into a negative light. Also WHAT A GREAT ANIMATION!! Really good work!
It was also an excuse some women used during that time to justify their feelings and desire to stay with their SO. But I agree, people jump on the hate train without even knowing the context and it's a bit annoying
Fishman wow I'm so oblivious, I always just saw this as a sweet innocent Christmas song 😂.
You mean adding alcohol to her drink without her consent....just as bad.
Or you know, there’s a massive blizzard outside and driving through that will get you killed
@@nooksak1 I think its safe to say thats not entirely accurate
Anyone who gets offended by this song, clearly don't pay attention to the acting or the flow of the song.
Totally agree!
There should absolutely be a 30 second parody of this where Idina just goes "The cold never bothered me anyway." after the "First It's cold outside"
I still say this song is crazy romantic, and this animatic shows the context that proves it
In reality he protecting her from a category 5 blizzard
paxton macugay everyone says he’s being a pervert when you’re one of the few who say “wait but it’s a fucking cold hell outside, he”s being good by keeping her in.”
Every morning:
Me: I really can't stay...
Bed: But baby it's cold outside.
(Idk why I'm watching this at the end of August XD)
I pretty like this bed version xD

Fallen Bri,ikr ;-; beds always have to do this

And suddenly Baby It's Cold Outside is wholesome all over again. The couple in this video is just as cute as a classic shojo romance.
Never understood why people think the guy singing is putting himself upon her. She wants to stay but is worried what people will think. He’s just assuring her it’s fine. Very wholesome.
Gets funnier with the Idina Menzel cover when you consider she's also Elsa from Frozen.
Like. Gurl. You controllin' *exactly* how cold it be outside.
@@wet0wl because people are stupid and will look for something to be offended over, even if they have to make things up.
And a small segment of that crowd hold the sincere belief that all sex is rape. Seriously, look it up. It's quite the rabbit trail to fall down, reading their "reasoning."
Idk why ppl took this down from the radio. Anyone who doesn’t think this song is a playful banter is dumber than me on a Monday morning (hint: on very stupid).
The og song from the musical is him being very predatory
@@Kevin_Theadore1 I need proof to ensure this isn’t a sweeping generalization. As a psych major, a predator classifies in psychopathic behavior that endangers and is meant to intimidate the other person/people in the interaction. The given context within the song is nothing but playful, giving to conclude that the man, in fact, is simply chasing after a woman who’s showing control in her sexual agency. If anything, for that very reason, this song is progressive, considering the time of its creation.
@@isaacmcallister5649 man just watch the original musical for proof💀 it’s not hard to find
@@foelfy then please link it here for all of us, if it's not hard to find
Please do. It better be something not easily speculated, either.
It's Christmas Eve right now for me, just gotta get that mood.

I miss when people would make love songs like this, hardly anyone knows what love is anymore it's sad.
I Knoooow Right?!!! If my partner and I are not this playful with each other then i don't want that relationship🤗😔😂. People read too much into this song instead of just appreciating and enjoying it.
