Dollar Store Makeover - Cursed Mask Edition

- I did a dollar store makeover, basically just tried painting on things from the dollar store. I made some pretty EVIL characters using dollar store items, just some cheap diys that ended up looking pretty chaotic. It’s hard figuring out what to do with things you can find at the dollar store, it wasn’t easy coming up with customizing ideas- it was kinda like a no budget dollar store challenge. I hope you guys like my dollar tree haul and my attempt at customizing things.

If I have to choose out of chef, unicorn, alien or robot. Then I would choose a unicorn or robot but a really cool super futuristic powerful robot. Or rawr babe if I could be whoever I want
I have summoned the tutu witch many times. Sometimes she comes over for just for tea

Oooh buckets to hold your tools of dismemberment, err repairing n fixing. Nice finds in the dollar store. Seems aside from dishes n goblin teacups (opposed to cutesy fairy teacups), there isn't much inspiration there. Ever thought of trying Five n Below or the party store/Michaels clearance racks (which can be dollar items)?
Oo that's a really good idea, I'll have to check em out. I think I might find some better stuff there!

4:16 have you tried gesso? Gesso (as Moriah says) is a “paintable surface in a can” which helps you prepare any surface for acrylic paint. I believe mod podge is more gluey and is mainly used as a gloss finisher like a varnish
He usually uses it, but not on metal materials

What a fun and wickedly amusing video. I have painted on so many different surfaces and if you want your paint to stay use a regular Gesso or I used Kilz paint primer and sealer. This stuff is so amazing and coverage is solid! You can buy a gallon for just about $20.00 quite a bit cheaper than brand name Gesso. It also comes in spray cans too! I look forward to watching your next video. Til then, be yourself til it hurts!

I’m always finding those knock off ponies at my local dollar Tree however I haven’t seen those cute floral metal buckets yet but I haven’t been there in a week so I might have to check it out.
I knew the mask was going to become the sloth. The eye holes had that grumpy-sleepy look. You weren’t planning to wear it anyways, but I have had some success glueing padding to the inside of a mask to make it sit over my glasses better instead of pressing them into my face. I used cotton balls cause I was lazy and it worked but foam or rejected squishy body parts would work too.

To find MLPs you may need to check different types of of dollar stores as the only Dollar Tree I’ve seen even off brand MLPs at was a mega one in New Orleans which was literally at least half as big as a Walmart! And it had everything including a full grocery section with a fridge and freezer section!😳😳 It even had a large section of crafting/art supplies!
Not sure if you have Dollar General where you live but I’ve seen MLPs even at the smaller locations sometimes. Not sure if Dollar General is only a southern thing or not.

💜🖤💛💜🖤💛I think your talents have gotten better and maybe time to power up to the next level of tools... a small electrical sander to help with the sanding. Don't get me wrong the imperfections make it amazing but with a dremil tool you can carve little details
