It hurts to watch two of the worst goalkeepers o each side. The only way one side would end up loosing was if a kicker misses it's turn, and that's what happened.

@@howsitgoingpeople9436 we finished 12th, the team was over reliant on Ian Wright and our only decent midfielder (Merson) was in rehab for half the season and the rest of the midfield was utter dogshit. The back 4 were good but they were getting old and we were close to a relegation battle at one point.
Your wrong it was not a shitty squad. It was one of the best squad in the world and in epl. VP was one of the world best strikers, Sagna, vermalen were a top defender, Walcott was in his prime and one of the fastest players at that time. The squad was really good. If your an arsenal fan try and watch old matches.
If Arsenal had Robert Green or David James as their goalkeeper after Jens Lehmann, Arsenal could’ve collected at least one more league title, two more FA Cup titles, two more League Cup titles, and one Champions League title.
@SHAHZEB MIR The reason Koscielny looked good is because he had Mertesacker next to him telling him what to do, there isn't even a comparison about which of the two is a better defender
@SHAHZEB MIR I think I could have worded it better. I do think Koscielny was a quality player but I don't think he was anywhere near as intelligent as Mertesacker. If I could choose between one of them playing it would be Mertesacker because I think he understands and reads the game far better which in turn is massively helpful for the full backs and midfielders. They were a brilliant partnership though!
All those in the comments saying how Wenger kept Arsenal consistently in the top 4 are so narrow-minded. First, look at the context. Were there as many teams actually competing for top 4 then as there are now in terms of the squads they had? No. Next, these Wenger teams were not even all trash - some are even good. So how come these "good" squads started slipping down the table towards the end of the Wenger years? Because the other teams started to actually compete because they too invested and bought quality players. So all of you glory years apologists out there, please, open your eyes.
