- Had a bunch of people ask how I painted the Corsair Elite Capellix LCD Upgrade Kit.
I filmed this with the Elgato FaceCam and recorded audio with the Elgato Wave:3

Awesome will be purchasing this lcd screen soon and doing this. I have the same gpu, pro tip run a black permanent marker over that red line on top of the card.
I originally bought the black one since it was the only color at the time. Just got around to painting it and it came out pretty good. I messed up on some coats so its a little uneven of one side, but that's alright. My first time spray painting so you live and learn. Thanks for the helpful video!

Awesome job, but wow I just got one of these pumps to match all my corsair acessories and this pump is so much louder even in the quietest setting compared to my old NZXT cooler.

- Getting my 7000D on Monday, with 12 x ML120 fans, so I already have the 3 x ML120 fans there, since I already need to replace them on my current (non-Corsair) AIO.

Did you give the casing a rub down before painting and between coats ???? Looks cracking BTW
Nothing special, I just made sure there wasn't any dust or anything on it before painting each coat.
On the reddit page, I swore I saw you using white cables, doesn't this lcd screen come with black tube too? Did you use the same white spray paint on the cable sleeves too?
I think the cables on that Reddit post look white because of how the light is showing on them and the angle of the shot. The cables coming out the top are black and I didn't paint those.
Have you checked on the paint recently to see if it’s holding still??? I’ll be trying your method out soon but i wanna know your input b4 hand..
So far the paint still looks good! 👍 If you follow Corsair on social media they recently shared a video of mine with a Windows XP logo if you want to take a closer look of a recent vid.

Ooh didn't think about white cables... I think it works out for me since my mobo is black so they kinda blend in.
I'm going to source some white heat shrink tubing and cover cables when it arrives
Use plastic dup if you want to remove the paint
I can't save my GIF image. when I exit the program the image disappears from the LCD... Any suggestions?
Are you exiting iCUE completely? If so you will want to make sure the image is assigned to the "Hardware Screen". The "hardware" effects like lighting and keyboard profiles on iCUE are applied when you don't have the program running.

what kind of spray paint did you use? and how many coats? i will be doing the same.
There is a link to the paint in the video description and I did 2 coats. I also go into more detail on how I did the coats in the video.

Bro how did you put it on mine won’t go all the way down because of the amd brackets ??
There is an updated bracket that helps a ton, but what helped me was that I moved the AIO tubes out of the way and that helped it fit enough to stay. It's not easy to get it to stay you aren't alone on that.

This thing has a 50/50 shot at frying your brand new AIO. Good luck!

@@Tun3d -- Not sure. Installed mine last week and it fried my AIO cooler. The pump stopped working and the controller doesn't show up in iCUE anymore. Having to do an RMA for both. This is a poor design. It doesn't sit well and half of the posts I've seen out there are from faulty units. Corsair is struggling mightily as of late for some reason.
@@flatearth6057 are u on amd or intel? I heard the old am4 bracket could be problematic
@@Tun3d -- AMD. Many many of these on Intel and AMD. They're just trash. Much like everything else Corsair I've owned. QL's have RGB issues, Commander Pro stopped showing up in iCUE in under a year, my AIO is now laying in the floor and replaced, my Dominator Platinum was pink as can be when in white mode and 3 RGB's stopped working almost immediately. Let's not even mention their RMA nonsense. Wait. Let's. Weeks between emails and then when they finally accept a return / exchange you have 24 hours to respond, or they close the ticket as "resolved." A true dumpster fire going on at Corsair. And they know it...
@@flatearth6057 Ive heard mixed reviews tbh, only prob I ever had with corsair has been the ql fan led probs but everything else has been smooth. The few times I had to RMA ql fans, it was pretty quick with fast responses. Even last week I needed to get a new AM4 bracket and they responded within 1-2 days and shipped it out on the 3rd day. Hopefully my luck streak doesn't end with the LCD upgrade kit. I'm supposed to receive it in a few days.
You should charge for this make a few bucks on the side 😂
