What a great Dawg team with so many great players. Going into Nebraska and rolling up over 600 yards against a very well coached team . I do remember Cornhusker fans were very gracious and only said good things on this Dawg team. Osborne had a great team and what a great loyal coach.
Yes. I remember how the Nebraska crowd applauded the Huskies as they left the field at the end of the game -a fitting tribute to a great team by people who truly loved football.
I was coming home from a real estate appointment and turned to KIRO on my car radio. Almost immediately Bryant fumbled the punt, Nebraska scored and I changed the channel figuring the game was over. When I got home I turned on the TV and was switching around and to my great surprise saw Washington was ahead 22-21. I didn't change channels again.

Thanks for your interest, but i'm not sure when i'll get back into editing college games (currently editing old NFL games). Pretty sure I don't have any of the games listed above, though I believe the bowl games are on youtube.

I wonder if they know about watching the Nebraska players get off the bus, the opponent seeing them and the game was over? I wonder if they know about Nebraska lineman going to the line and telling the other team "we're running the ball right here"?
This Husky team should’ve played Miami for the natty that year, but this was before the BCS and the CFP. I believe Washington would’ve beat Miami too. Just 3 years later, the Huskies went down to Miami and ended the Hurricanes 58 game home win streak.
I still have a video tape of the "Wammy in Miami" Sonny Sixkiller was part of the broadcast team; he was so excited when the Huskies turned the game around. I felt like I was there with them.

They Smashed Washington 96 and 97 btw. They beat everyone in that time period. Probably the greatest run in college football. . I think you need to lay off the drugs 😂
