Thank you...definitely I am going let it sit for a while...indeed I wrapped it and have had for 24 hours and and is changing already!..and yes I will buy a new stove since the one I have, the oven doesn't work!
@carla0338 Thanks for the comment! The lye looks white because I put Titanium Dioxide in it to make the batter white. After an oven process the soap is already cured, but I let it sit for about a week just so it can get harder, the longer it sits the harder it gets! =)
@carla0338 It depends on how white you want your soap, I put in anywhere from a 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of TD per pound of oil, I mix the lye into my oils when both temperatures have reached 100 degrees.
@jahforlife06 Thanks for the comment! I do have a dollar tree by me, I'm definetely going to check it out, I really need a tripod with longer legs, thanks for the info!!! :)
@kokodesigns Thats really strange. The only thing that I can think of is wait a few days and see if it cures out a bit more and maybe get the fragrance to blossom in the water. I dont know why you would be able to smell it till the water hits it. Keep me posted.
@Seedcovers Im happy to know the TD in the lye water is working best for you!! :) Let me know when you figure out why its making the tiny bubbles under the layer, I'm intrigued by what could be causing it. Hugs, Dani
@mrscrafty100 Yes, I would have to agree that I think that is what happened too. I am a new soaper so I think I will just need to practice, practice, practice. I have ordered a nice wooden mold though!! Just in case. Thanks so much for the feedback!
First off I just want to say I love your soaps!! Thank you so much for the video explaining how you do this process. For my very first CPOP soap I decided to try it! Everything went very well but I used a silicone mold and the soap seperated on me. It was cool though because I dumped it out and then mixed with my hand mixer. It still made soap for me, but do you think this happened because I used a silicone mold?
@Todologa14 So sorry to hear that. I would let it sit for a couple of months to see what it does.... if anything else you can rebatch it. I wouldnt use the toaster oven anymore, I would try doing it in the regular oven.
@mizgirl23 Thank you for watching my videos! =) So sorry to hear about your soap.... I dont think the silicone mold had anything to do with it, maybe the fragrance was the culprit. I would try with a wooden mold next time.... just in case. Good luck! =)
@ShumiKawaii88 I have found that the TD does help with the color, just make sure you add a bit more color than normal if your using it, for example... if your after red, then add extra because the td will make it look pink, etc, etc, I think it should work just fine that way... unless of course the fragrance oil your using tends to discolor, specialy if it has vanilla content in it, I hope that helps! =)
mrscrafty100 I need your help! I am a very new soapmaker...I've done two batches cold process and came out pretty good...but I just tries my third batch using your method but using a toaster oven..my soap came out like a sponge the next morning! What could've happened? Do you have any suggestion for me on what to do with this batch? Thanks a lot and congratulations for your beautiful soaps!
Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate your techniques.
i have made several oven processed soaps, my best seller was my very first one in the brown sugar scent. thank you!

@pradagirl8 I go by Fahrenheit, hope it helps! =)
Do the lye and the oils both have to be at 100 degrees celsius or fahrenheit?
@nettaXmone What ever recipe you have on cold process soap! =)
@soniasbliss Yes, it sure looks lovely, I saw it at your Etsy shop!! :)
