Mukesh Chhabra on Sushant Singh Rajput's death, fallout with Kriti Sanon, casting couch & Chamkila

Mukesh Chhabra is one of the most acclaimed casting directors in the Indian film industry and there are no two ways about it. With successful films like Bajrangi Bhaijan, Dangal, Dil Bechara, Laal Singh Chaddha, Jawan & Dunki in his kitty, he recently impressed one and all with his perfect casting for Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila. When Galatta India Anchor Rashita Sahni recently caught up with him for a candid conversation, Mukesh opened up about the most emotional phase of his life when he lost his brother Sushant Singh Rajput. The casting director turned filmmaker spoke about how he doesn't consider Dil Bechara as his first film, dealing with Sushant Singh Rajput's death and losing his mother a year back. He reveals how Ayushmann Khurrana, Vijay Varma and Ali Fazal were in the running for Kai Po Che and how SSR finally bagged the part. He spoke about casting Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra in Chamkila and what made them their first choice. Mukesh shed light on nepotism and how outsiders like Mrunal Thakur, Kriti Sanon, Kartik Aaryan and Rajkummar Rao are running the show now. Mukesh ended the conversation with talking about casting couch allegations against several casting directors.

It's extremely disgusting that Bayan deep can't LET REST HIM REST IN FREAKING PEACE! Nayandeep harassed him nonstop when he was alive and neither do he or Ankita have the conscience to own up to their sins and wrongdoings against him at least to his family. If you actualky cared for him, you would have RESPECTED HIS MOST BASIC boundaries and let him move on and live in peace which was his basic right as a human being and not take a cent or write the hit pieces for him and now snooping on him and his family STILL when he NEVER resoected his boundaries when it mattered or resolved your issues or at the very least had the guts to tell him to his face why you did what you did or why you couldn't correct or remove some of your trolling and harassment on him. Disgusting.
